2020 NFL draft: 4th round, 108th pick

Games played: 35
Games started: 18

Notes on last year:

On March 15, 2024, Charles signed a one-year $1.5 million deal with the Tennessee Titans. He was awarded the starting right guard position at the beginning of training camp, but Charles unexpectedly retired from football just a few days later for unknown reasons. The Titans placed him on the reserve/retired list on August 6. On March 12, 2025, it was announced Charles was coming out of retirement. Upon his reinstatement in the NFL, the Titans chose to release him; making him a free agent in the 2025 offseason.

Remember when Cole Beasley abruptly left TC, quit football.
No one cared, team talked him into returning, still no one cared.
Then when he left the team in FA, some years later, fans cared.

Not saying this guy will turn out to be a good player. But this is a good gamble to see what he may do.

So we can take lineman off the draft needs right? :)
In reality, I don’t think they draft any OL.

OT - Guyton, Steele. Richard’s, Waletzko

OG - Smith, Hoffman. Bass, Thomas, Jones, Charles

OC - Beebe.

Then you have a few guys who have stuck around of they seem to like Shepley, Jack Anderson, Bostick Jr.

I’m still amazed they signed Charles AND Jones and didn’t just opt for Will Hernandez.

No. Need RG1.
RG is going to be a battle between Jones, Charles, Hoffman, Bass, and possibly Richards.

IOL is good enough….the bigger question is OT. Can Guyton take a step forward? Can Steele pass protect at an at least serviceable level? Is Richards (or whoever else is on the roster) a passable swing tackle? I hope to see an OT drafted before the 5th personally. Not that a 3rd/4th rounder is going to solve all of our problems, but OT is too important of a position and Guyton/Steele/Richards shouldn’t make anyone feel warm and fuzzy.
