Anyone in Atlanta know of a sportsbar thats definitely getting our game tomorrow night? I know Barnacles on Peachtree Indl has had alot of the Cowboy preseason games for years but they are hit and miss sometimes depending on who's there controlling the satellite, Jocks and Jills in Brookhaven was real dependable but it closed.

Seeing it replayed Sunday on NFL Network would be ok, but would rather see it live.

It looks like they've added it to the line up for channelsurfing.net. It wasn't there yesterday but it is this morning.

I watched last week's game on channelsurfing.com and it was great. They are showing the Cowboys-Broncos game live tonight at 9:00 Denver time. You might want to try that website, unless you love sportsbars or want to sit around with other Cowboy friends.

I talked to the people at Barnacles on Peachtree Indl, and they told me they are definitely showing the game.

Just some fyi.

David, how's the weather in Atlanta?

Have a great time enjoying a frosty adult beverage, and be safe out there.

I'd like to know how given there is NO broadcast outside of the local viewing area for this game. NFL Sunday Ticket does NOT work for pre-season games. NFL Network on Sunday at 4 PM is when it will show outside of the Cowboys and Broncos home viewing areas.

dude, its called the "big" dish, they pick up the local feed from Dallas or the other local team (or a couple times, the Espanol broadcast from Mexico/South Texas)

I've missed only one or two preseason games since 1991, and have lived here in Atlanta the whole time while doing it.

The trick is you have to find a bar mngr/owner who'swilling to search for the game, sometimes they know where to look exactly, the other times its a crapshoot and they might not know till right at kickoff

Is Barnacles a decent place? I live in Atlanta as well.

Well, Barnacles - the chain - isn't as good as it was several years ago. They used to serve up a decent etouffe, but that's long gone. However their dishes are 'okay' and they're roomy places.

That particular bar was hosting 680 the Fan on Tuesdays last year. You could get sports talk radio live and with the Atlanta Falcons FB Ovie Mughele.

I can't speak in general for preseason but there is a Dallas Cowboys fans in Atlanta meetup group. They have had meeting sizes of, oh, 10-40 at various bars throughout the city. I don't know how busy they will be during preseason.

url is: http://dallascowboys.meetup.com/25/

as fyi, I just called them and now they told me it wont be on at Peachtree Indl afterall, but on at the Jimmy Carter location.

Eh, have someone tape the game and go out and see the Georgia Satellites instead.

Wow dbair, good for you. I didn't know any bars were still using C band dishes. I thought they had gone the way of the dinosaur. My apologies!

I'm watching the game on a 10 foot C band dish I have at home. I have not missed a regular or pre-season game since 1986.
