TRADED Cowboys trade for George Pickens and 2027 6th for 2026 3rd and 2027 5th

I refuse to discuss QBs with “I’m scared to death of drafting a QB because it might not work out” type of fans.
OMG, you are so predictable. like clock work...
yeah, that was the most obvious non-answer/ deflection ever on this board....by a mile

btw, I have plenty of comments saying we should draft a QB, in first 3 rounds every 3-4 years and either develop and be ready....its win-win.

but yeah...like I said NO BALLS MC is your new nickname.

this is more than 30 words, so your response is going to be "I didn't read it because it was more than 30 words"...LOL

You believed Schotty had control, huh?

Jerry let Schotty move around furniture to give him something to do while he was making deals with Pittsburgh.
No he is a puppet, but the office can’t keep the objectives in line, already showing cracks of dysfunction and were not even at camp yet lol

So if their plan is to re-sign Pickens that means say goodbye to Jake Ferguson.

Which I'm for but a lot of people really value him like a core player.

Ok, bye Ferguson. Pickens is a legitimate WR. The million dollar question is about his character and if we can harness his talent.

I'm actually shocked they made the move considering hes going to need a contract soon.

We did not need another WR ....... but the great thing about this is how Pickens will react when Dak starts throwing the ball in the dirt at his feet or 10 feet over his head.

Its gonna be a show ....... get your popcorn ready.
Another anti Cowboys post by a poster claiming to be a Cowboy fan…..

This really is the issue. I like the trade, I think it move the Cowboys in the direction of more wins, but we still neglected parts of the defense and have total question marks at both tackle spots. I still struggle to view this team as a serious contender, and it feels like another early exit playoff team.
I agree that we are not a serious contender. But the issue is thinking we were going to fix all of our holes this year.

You know what you get with that troll. Notice how vocal he is when we make moves. Just trolling.

Teams get 3rd round comp picks every year.
Just depends on his play.

If he fails to click with Prescott or doesn't grow up. Then he may be bounce around the league like Claypool/Johnson on cheap deals which would be no comp pick.

If he shows #1 talent and grows up, 3rd round ez.
Jerry Jones might publicly admit the Jonathan Mingo trade was a poor one but everyone should keep such a personal admission like that from him in perspective. If the media followed up that admission with the question 'Do you think another general manager for this team would have traded for Mingo?', Jones would respond that it was the best move anyone in the league would have also made at the time.
Jerry looks at this as a big deal folks. Tickets sales just doubled. LOL

THIS ^^^^
Yep, we will sell more tickets and and this will create a buzz around the team.
But a 3rd for a one year rental with issues ?
This is not a long term good football decision.
This is a typical Jerry splash move.
If it doesn’t work out and Pickens signs a contract with another team next year then we basically get Pickens for 2025, a 6th round pick 2026, and a 3rd round comp pick 2027 for a 3rd round pick 2026 and 5th round pick 2027. Not a lot of draft compensation given up if you really look at it. If he works out then we got a steal.

I rather would have traded for a defensive player. all the offense is not going to translate to winning in post season.
Just because you would have rather doesn't mean this is a bad deal. We gave up a 3rd rounder. The hit rate on a 3rd rounder may be 25% to ever be a basic starter. We just got a guy defenses fear. Just because you want a defensive player doesn't make this a bad move. It's a great move. Imagine our season is CD gets a high ankle sprain or anything.... our offense would come to a screeching halt. This move is great.

lol. Geez, are you ever happy about anything? We may not win anything next year but at least we are being entertained.
See that's the issue:
Jerry values entertainment over winning.
Until this guy moves on, we will continue not being relevant in the post season.
29 years and counting........
