CW: DJ Reader Projected to be Cowboys Target

The Reader/Ogunjobi DT combo was the primary reason Cincy was in the super bowl. They held the Chiefs to 3 points in the 2nd half. Major mistake by Cincy letting Ogunjobi walk after the season.
Agreed. The Bengals are notoriously very conservative with their spending on players.

Not surprised at all that Hendrickson hasn't received a new deal. Especially after they paid their WRs.

June 1 is the next date to look at, some discount deals could be had, but hopefully the Cowboys are working the phones gaging the price for a 1T. Reader would be nice, but there needs to be other Cowboys writers talking about 1T for me to even think the Cowboys are hunting for one.
Everything points to them hunting for one. They have been filling all of their needs this offseason and an upgrade at 1tech is obviously needed. They very well could add a 1tech and a corner and get Parsons signed.

The Lions can try to trade him first before cutting him. I'm certain that the Cowboys would be interested in him as an upgrade.
only at Cowboys' terms,.. their price,.. their conditions, ...i don't think they'd want a 1 tech at his current Lions contract.

no one has been cheaper then the Bungles and that is one of the reasons they keep falling short

sadly true. Jethro never has appreciated DTs like a former guard should
the key to a Defense is the middle of its D line; if that is weak, as we have seen, nothing else matters when it really matters

Doesn’t really matter where one was drafted after they prove to be reliable.

Point being they need more proven options there now if the idea is to win now, which the Pickens deal suggests is the plan.

But the Jerry way is expecting Osa to now play like Aaron Donald because he gave him the bag. He thinks paying more means better play just because.

If you had say, Poona Ford, Reader and retained Golston instead of Osa only for roughly the same money, then work in Mazi and your seventh rounders…now you’ve got what looks like maybe a DT room. They’ll regret that Osa deal for that much money, but they put themselves in that spot.
Another excellent post in the long list of many involving your opinion on "to plan or not to plan the Cowboy way."
You continue to do a great job of pointing out the pros and cons of actual or would be player acquisition and the short and long term effects on future team success.
Keep up the great work.

Bolded are contradictory statements.

McClay should definitely wear the “L” for advocating for Mazi.

Dude has nearly zero production at Michigan and clearly they didn’t do enough investigating about his football character and passion for the game.

I haven’t given up on him but this is his 3rd year and proverbial “make it or break it” season as far as I’m concerned.
3rd defensive coordinator for this guy so the light better come on ASAP

They also got the 2 vets coming in. They shouldn't be too bad.
Sanborn and Murray are now considered dawgs?

You're the same guy that told me that Overshown. Liufau and Kendricks would be an area of strength......you were wrong and should admit as such

Credibility and ownership counts here
