As we sit here today, there aren't many flaws to point to.

The vacancy at kicker springs to mind, but that should be filled in the form of a veteran before training camp, if not sooner.

Outside of kicker, though, Dallas doesn't need much. They could justify adding depth at certain positions like linebacker, running back and receiver. Running back arguably is the most urgent "need" given Tony Pollard is recovering from high-ankle surgery and a fractured fibula and he doesn't have a clearcut backup.

Darrell Henderson???

Cut in November and then again in December by different teams.

Doesn't sound like he is much of an answer. I remember him flaming out with the Rams.
Me thinks Rico Suave may be better than him. Doubt they will bring another RB in unless injury bug strikes in TC. Can't afford any other injury there.

Sadly, I remember him gashing the Cowboys' defense in the playoffs, after the 2018 season.

Except for Pollard, we've got no money or resources locked into RB.

RB rotation with Pollard is low hanging fruit to improve the offense.

Except for Jones, I don't see an even moderately credible backup for Pollard.

Straight to the point, they need a power running back...but a good one.

These morons are treating the RB position this year like they treated the WR position last year

If you want to be a run heavy team you cannot go in with Pollard as your lead back and nothing behind him

I feel like the only mistakes were the underspend on a few positions. Would anyone be be upset if instead of Ronald Jones, LVE, and Edoga we spent an extra 10m and say got Jamaal Williams, Bobby Wagner and Will Hernandez.

Outside of kicker the Cowboys don't need much? Another RB is "arguably" the most urgent need?

Finding a RB capable of taking 10 to 12 carries each game and producing efficiently is an absolutely critical need and I was shocked that they didn't dedicate a high draft pick in an effort to find one.

The final cutdown leftovers after the preseason games isn't going to cut it. In order for Dak to meet expectations at the QB position, it is obvious that a strong running game is going to be a priority. Not only that, but if the Cowboys are forced into "three-consecutive-passes-three-and-out type drives then the defense is going to wear down at the end of games in addition to the end of the season.

And if Pollard can't recover adequately from his injury or if he gets injured again? You can toss the season into the trashcan.

Good lord, whoever wrote this article is even worse. I'd rather have Henderson at league minimum than Elliott at any price or Cook at the price he would require.

Dallas likely needs another vet RB in the mix.
DAL moving on Dalvin Cook after he is released would be interesting if he was willing to make the deal very team friendly.
RB is usually a position you can be patient at.
