Cowboyswire mock

I don’t know realistic that trade is but it would be an A+. The only thing I’d change is Phillips for a CB at 42. We already have DLaw, Anae and Gregory. Don’t need another DE that high unless it’s a can’t miss.

I like this draft............ very much. At 25, Barmore is worth the pick as his upside is immense. Then you get an edge defender and S in the 2nd.

I would take Chaz Surratt instead of Phillips. Getting Surratt and Browning would go a long way into fixing the LB situation. Plus I believe the DEs on the team can go 1 more year before grabbing a guy in the draft..... especially if they resign Smith. Fixing the interior with 2 picks and then getting 2 LBs plus a safety will have this defense looking much better.

If you're going to throw a trade into it at least have some rationale for it. Why is Jacksonville moving up to 10?

Saw one the other day that had Pittsburgh moving up to 10 to get a QB, which makes sense given their situation.

Give me Bolton at 44 and I’m on board

not taking a guy who has huge injury issues in rd 2

As noted by CalPoly, Bolton has a Jaylon Smith kind of play angle to him. I worry he's just going to be like Smith and try to run around people instead of being able to take on and shed blockers. If people want that thumper LB, he's not it.

Linebackers avoid blocks nowadays. Ray Lewis was the master at that. These linebackers are not Matt Millen or Singletary.

The Cowboys have 10 picks in this draft. I think they are more likely to trade up in the second round to get who they want instead of trading down from 10. The team needs quality players not a bunch of maybes. I am in favor of trading our second and third picks to get back in round one. Let’s trade up not down.

in the mocks I been doing on PFN, about 85% of them have us having Pitts, available along with Parsons and Slater. In a trade down scenarion I have run many times, I am able to draft Barmore in the late 1st and shelvin in round 2..so yes...it looks evry real, like we may actually have a shot at both. I doubt we will though. Meaning I think if Surtain is also sitting there at 10, that will be the pick. Then round 2 we can come back and grab Shelvin or a LB like Nick Bolton. I personally rather get Dylan Moses at LB. He is more of a true MLB and thumper. Gives us toughness inside.

Ok but I wouldn’t want an oft injured player at 44
That should net us a starter

Using the order of the draft in the article............ how about this:

25 - Collins
42 - Moehrig
46 - Tufele

And the rest can stay the same. I'd take that draft too.

that would be perfect
