Cox and Clarks LSU Connection?

Being that these two both came from the same college, you never see them really in any pictures or at practice together to my knowledge. I don't know everything of course, but I haven't seen much of it. The wearing of the #18 is significant there, I hope these guys bring it this season and provide that depth to this defense that a lot of people are unsure about for our defense at this point. Has anyone seen their connection? Not that it's important in terms of playing on the field, but just the brotherhood of the same college, you don't see it much. Please give your thoughts

Yes. I’ve heard that as well. And by doing that it’s pretty clear they’re trying to make the whole team cuddlers like them.

Same here, but you'll hear the normal answers of "oh he's been great, we love what he's doing!"

I know he had excuses for his play last year but i thought we would see him flash a bit more.

Really hope he has improved a lot cause after LVE there is not much.

Clark is just another gemstone, like Sam Williams is to this defense.
Others like Fowler, Armstrong, Overshown, Kearse, Hooker, etc .... Makes LB depth kind of a non issue/factor.

I don’t know - Williams has done well in his limited snaps - Clark really hasn’t, Williams is not a starter, Clark is supposed to be the starter next to LVE.

If LVE goes out - which is a real possibility - then your 2 starters are Clark and Cox, and if they both haven’t vastly improved then we in a world hurt.

We saw that last year when Barr and Clark started.

It's maybe a knee jerk reaction on my part, but not only would I Not be surprised when Overshown takes more reps and a bigger role than Cox, .but
but i actually expect Overshown to outshine Cox at some point or another. Seems to have already done so in camp alone thus far.

I agree, my main concern is who plays next to LVE - we mainly run the Big Nickel - Clark or Cox gotta claim that position.

The concern with O is, isnt he gonna play Kearse’s position, is he gonna get the snaps…
