Insane, I know. But what if Waddle goes first, along with QBs, Pitts, and some defenders?

What if Ja’Marr Chase is still on the board at #10. There is still an entire draft to address defense.
Chase? A true #1 WR who would replace Gallup this year or next, making our receiving corps even more elite. A year or two later, we could even trade Cooper with Chase becoming our #1 while still on a rookie contract.

Everything depends on how the first 9 picks fall, but do you pass on a top value who gives you roster and salary cap flexibility in a couple years to take a CB, LB, or DL who is clearly not top 10 value most years?

I’ve been thinking about WRs, too. If Gallup gets traded, I can see us address WR in the first 3 picks. In that scenario, I’d love to trade down at 10 and pick up Rashod Bateman in the 1st round.

You’d be able to keep this group intact for the next 3 years at least:

Cooper/Bateman OWR
Lamb Slot WR

If Chase is there at 10, you have to take him unless you get a great trade offer which I believe you would

The top 10 BPAs are all on offense.
Surtain and Farley are borderline and Parsons is a reach.

Think about the most insane possibility, Chase and Smith, highly improbable of course, but think about the the world turned upside down, and havent we experienced that, so should have open mind to all worse case scenarios
actually playing out.

If Chase is there at 10 and he’s BPA by a like you take him.

He’s a blue chippers though so doubt he will be.

Can he stuff the run? Lets say this happens, I am looking at either trading the pick or WR on the roster for a high pick.

I think there's a very good chance 1 of Chase, Waddle, Smith or Pitts will be available at 10...I just hope there's a trade back option for 1 of them.

Unfortunately, there is no one in this entire draft who can stuff the run that I would draft in the top 15.

you trade down and take a boat load of picks someone is willing to give up for him...that easy

You take Chase and be happy

Seems extreme, but if we have trade set to part with Cooper...maybe then.

Taking Chase at 10 is not AT ALL the same as taking Lamb way down at 17.
Lamb was by far the highest on the board at the time at 17. Maybe even 2 tiers above anyone left.

Picking 7 spots earlier at 10 is a different deal. You are spending WAY MORE for yet another WR.
10 is worth both 17 and a 2nd rounder.

If we trade down, pick up a 2nd, and Chase is still there? Yeah, sure.

Chase could be the 2nd or 3rd player on our board. I think you have to take him. Then you figure out how to get the best deal for Cooper.

I think Crazy is correct

Even Jerry isn’t that crazy (though CZ fans apparently are)

You draft Chase and work the phones to trade a WR during the draft. Preferably Lamb.

no way trading lamb. Gotta trade Gallup. Can’t afford pay him after this year. Need at least a high/mid 3rd though for him otherwise I just let him walk after this year and likely get a 4th round comp for him.

He could be the 15th player too.
We don’t know.
We do know if he's there at 10, then 9 teams passed already.
With 3 WRs all being ranked in various orders, plus maybe 4 QBs, we do know theres a real chance one (or two?) of those WRs could easily still be there at 10
Again, 10 isn't 17. Huge difference
