I give Hoffman credit. After the 2023 preseason, he deserved to be cut and was. No one wanted him, so he ended up on our practice squad. What he did from there was make himself enough of a center contender that we were comfortable letting Biadasz walk (thinking Hoffman would at least be an adequate replacement). He seems to work hard and play with a chip on his shoulder. I think if he was a starter, defenses would attack him with power and beat him the same way they did Biadasz despite his tenacity. But he's at least a quality backup. Maybe he can successfully be more than that.
