I give Hoffman credit. After the 2023 preseason, he deserved to be cut and was. No one wanted him, so he ended up on our practice squad. What he did from there was make himself enough of a center contender that we were comfortable letting Biadasz walk (thinking Hoffman would at least be an adequate replacement). He seems to work hard and play with a chip on his shoulder. I think if he was a starter, defenses would attack him with power and beat him the same way they did Biadasz despite his tenacity. But he's at least a quality backup. Maybe he can successfully be more than that.

Have no problem with that. Hate that Richards suffered a high-ankle sprain against Washington. Means we might not see him again until the end of the season at best.Play all the young guys: Bass, Richards and Hoffman
let them show what they have

I wanted to see Waletzko back on the left side in the preseason. I thought he had showed a little something there, but struggled when moved over to right tackle. Unfortunately, we haven't seen him enough at LT to think he can be part of the solution.Waletzko time!
