The key is to keep the offense on the field long enough for the defense to stay fresh and rested for the 4th quarter. A nice running game, no 3 and outs and long drives that end in points, even if it's just FG's as it has been the case, then there's no reason to be nervous about a Dak comeback. If Dak and his offense can score 3 TDs a game and 2 FGs, there's no way the team loses more than 4 the entire season.

Hopefully, this has been a learning experience for Dak. That he sees that a lesser talented guy can have success if he can just limit the bad plays. Dak has had either a confidence problem or just a between the ears problem. I hope this puts everything into perspective for him.

When Romo learned to dial back in 2014 , he had the best season of his career. In 2014, he had the least amount of pass attempts but had the highest QB rating, yards per attempt, and completion percentage of his career. He leaned much more on the run game going 12-4 and winning his first playoff game.

Just like Dak's first game this year, Romo played really bad in week one vs the Niners throwing 3 picks and only 1TD on 37 attempts. He dialed back on pass attempts after that game and only had 1 other game with more than 35 attempts.

Let's hope Dak learns to dial back and plays winning football when he comes back. Just like Romo did in 2014.

This is a great example of what good players do

Dak won’t dial back as his ego is too massive to do so. He got paid 40 million and thinks he’s on top of the world and continuously checks out of run plays so he can play Captain QB and pad his stats (which funnily enough, makes his stats way worse when he does this).

Even if he becomes Captain Checkdown, he’ll wait too long to make a decision since he lacks anticipation and needs 1000 yards separation between the WR and the defender. Therefore, he’ll either throw an INT or take a sack. He’s a glorified Blake Bortles and that’s putting it lightly.

Nope. No need for the return of Captain Checkdown.

Dak was ranked forth in downfield passing completion percentage last season.... he only played one game this year, but....

How is that Captain Checkdown, or do you consider passes over 15 to 20 yards check downs?? We're you over exaggerating or could you make that make sense....

Many haters use the Zone platform to release their non stop hate for another human being because of his salary while other so-called quarterbacks making more, are bombing thus far & getting a free pass. (see Russell Wilson Aaron Rodgers Mathew Stafford Joe Burrow Kyler Murray)

Yes OP, Dak will continue being Dallas's successful quarterback, no doubt!
