I was a fan of Dak when he was drafted. I loved the pick. I thought he was great in the preseason and then he played really well. When Romo was healthy, I wanted Dak to start as the team was in a rhythm. I was a big Romo fan at the time, so that says a lot.

I started to go south on Dak the last few years as the contract numbers became a problem. I was actually a proponent of moving on this last off season. I just didnt feel the player had proven enough to earn that kind of money. So many players go south after the big payday.

To Dak's credit he has played up to the contract. Dak has always appeared to be a good leader and it is nice to see one of these players get payed and still improve and play even better. I have to tip my cap to the man for earning the money.

I am not building Dak a bust in Canton just yet, but I have to say I am loving how he has handled himself post the $$$

I'm not going to focus on the negative after this win. So I can't comment on his performance.

Ask me tomorrow.

4 TDs, 0 INTs, 0 sacks. Yeah, no real negative to be seen here after that sparkling performance against the #1 ranked defense. Especially since he also managed to break free for big gains with his legs a few times when necessary.

He really has looked comfortable handling the pressure this year. Kudos to him!

I've been one of his biggest detractors in the past...but he's been mostly commanding. I still worry about him when line play breaks down, but so far his TD-INT ratio is good enough to get the team to the playoffs...and the division is in such a state that winning it has to be the bare minimum this year. That said, key players (including himself) have to stay mostly healthy this year...and avoid being lost for significant time or for the season.

You sound scared to address the elephant in the room. Turns out your pregame assessment of Dak was only projection

Funny thing is that we have been missing key players this season so far and still winning. But agree would like to see this team completely healthy for the rest of the year.

He’s been playing great for several years. He’s certainly reached elite status this year.
