Dak is a different QB when he uses his legs

When he first came into this league he made plays with his legs. After the injury we were either too scared to run him, or he just didn't have it anymore. As he showed the past two weeks he can still run. Enough to keep the defense honest.

You can clearly see when he's using his legs he's a much better player. He also doesn't have these rough patches in games as often because he's in rhythm. When he can extend a play or a drive by picking up a key first down with his legs it's huge for his confidence.

Why we tried to turn him into a strict pocket passer I have no idea, but it's nice to see him running this year. It's a welcomed change and long overdue.

That's the way of the league nowadays.

The strong majority of starting QBs are mobile.

The best QBs are the ones who are best at using their legs to their advantage.

Dak was excellent at extending plays when he needed to and picking up yards on the ground today. Converted a few 1st downs with his legs alone.

It looks clunky and unnatural but it’s still very effective.

Edit Mods - I meant to add qb in the title lol
Every QB is better when they step up in the pocket to see their options rather than back out of the pocket. Dak has done that well the last two games-That makes all the difference when you are playing against pressure
