He probably should get used to this.........it's going to be brutal, but $40M a year, will do that. In other words, this game, this season will now define the rest of his career until/unless he can get to a championship game or Super Bowl or both.

Goat of the week

Dak Prescott, quarterback, Dallas.
Prescott had a rough go in another early playoff exit for the Cowboys, throwing two first-half interceptions, one of which came in the red zone with the Cowboys looking to take the lead, and both of which led to San Francisco field goals. Those six points were felt in a defensive battle that ended 19-12, and there could have been more if the Niners had been able to haul in additional errant passes that bounced off their hands. The Cowboys haven’t been to the NFC Championship game in almost 30 years, and Brock Purdy owns as many playoff wins as Dak Prescott.

Dak skeptics have been proven right. He WILL NOT win a championship here. But Jerry still loves him because he puts butts in the seats. So I blame fans that keep paying for tickets and Dak jerseys.

When he asked for that it came with the $'s and it also came with the expectation. The expectation when you demand that sort of a salary that occupies such a major part of the cap space is that you have the capacity to carry the team even in a limited capacity and that you can be leaned on when other playmakers get hurt.

Thats on jerry. Dak showed you what he was and his limitations for 5 years. Paying him more money doesn't make him any better.

Jerruh should’ve paid him earlier and it wouldn’t be $40 million. Either way, Jones is a ******* and the common denominator in all of this.

This team is ready for Tom Brady to get us over the hump, I’m serious! Add a couple more explosive pieces and this team is ready to win now.

So tired of this argument. The Cowboys tried to extend Dak the two years prior, and Dak and his reps refused to negotiate. Jerry is a moron for giving Dak what he did, but please stop parroting this erroneous point.

This can sit next to last year’s Nickelodeon award in Prescott’s trophy case.

He doesn't care. Yacht season just starts the same time of year as always for him. We are the only ones emotionally invested in whether the team wins or loses.

Dak is equipped….he’s about to get it. People have different motives and angles that stems from jealousy among other things. Notice nobody talks about Josh Allen and how Stefan wanted to fight him yesterday. Josh Allen is god though because he can throw a deep ball.

That’s not the story I remember. I clearly remember a window where Jerruh could’ve signed Dak before his rookie contract ended. They decided to wait and then Dak held off to cause the contract numbers to skyrocket. The opportunity was there to extend him.
