Dak/McCarthy versus Herbert/Moore

Fascinating and inevitable tonight will be the immediate and postgame analysis of the QB/OC comparison between these two teams. Natural, of course, because of the history of those involved.

Moore was trashed here the past couple of years and made to be the scapegoat by many. He was sent packing as the reason for failure by the organization. The Chargers obviously disagreed with that and quickly scarfed him and paired him with their young QB.

Granted, they're not playing against the same defense; Dak/McCarthy have the better draw in that regard. But that will be irrelevant.

The fallout from this will be tangible. This is a MUST for Dak and McCarthy to move the ball and score a bunch of points tonight. The Charger defense is there to be had, so Dallas had better look formidable offensively for sure.

If not, it's going to get really ugly here for two weeks. That will be a LONG bye week.

Why pinning W/L on the quarterback is beyond a stupid stat l, media hype, or whatever you want to call it.

Granted the chargers defense was bad last year too they are off to a horrendous start. Argurably the weakest pass defense team in football so if they started 0-4 you can't simply pin that on Herbert or KM

I didn't bring up record to suggest its Moore's fault or its Moore's success or whatever. I'm bringing up to show that Moore has had great offenses and it hasnt' resulted in wins. Him being "ousted" wasn't about him or his offense. The goal was to win a SB and they felt his style of coaching didnt' allow them to do that.

Well he's saying they go hand in hand. The offense can't perform at a high level if the defense is not getting any stops. The defense can't perform at a high level getting piss poor field position all game. Its not as black and white as we want to believe. Ultimately the offense is underachieving and the defense is coming off a poor performance. We know both are more than capable of playing better.
