Do not continue to overpay for the mistake we made years ago by giving Dak that massive contract. He robbed us once fool on him if he robs us twice it’s going to be fool on us. He needs to start winning us rings as if he doesn’t, either offer him 25 million a year or kick him to the curb. Luckily we have Lance waiting in the wings so I’m not nervous about having a QB post Dak. I like Cooper Rush too, has led us to a 5-1 record and has shown he won’t ask for us to overpay for his work which record wise is similar to Dak. Watch this season closely fellas. If we don’t make it to the sb then please get rid of this dude before we lose more money to this guy

why would he? it doesn't make business sense. football more than anything is a business. you separate the business side. if he doesn't take a pay cut, cowboys other option is to cut him. then he is a FA. I don't think he minds that. it wouldn't be the first time a Cowboy went somewhere else to find success. Cowboys are where players come to end their career.

Let his contract run out.
Don't bring him back until he agrees to half of his current contract for one year. Otherwise, move on.

How about if CeeDee Lamb drops the game-winning pass? No extension?

How about if Micah Parsons finishes a playoff loss without a sack? No extension?

I mean, both of those players are looking at big money. If we don't reach the Super Bowl, they shouldn't get it, right?

In fact, shouldn't they ask the whole team to take a pay cut if we don't make the Super Bowl? We just gave Martin a raise he obviously doesn't deserve if we come up short in the playoffs again.

He’s rink eight overall, with not much difference between him and the floor above him. Yeah let’s get rid of him , lmao

Either you pay dak or you move on after this year and those are realistically your only options. Unless something major happens in terms of injury i see zero reason dak would take a pay cut. If the cowboys don’t want to pay him they can move on break up that cap hit over two years and dak will do just fine getting paid from another team.

You need to take a pay cut if your company doesn’t hit its EBITDA goals.

Also, anything less than an Outstanding performance appraisal should result it you beinf demoted.

If you fail on both of those goals, you should be flogged in the public square.

You mean on his next deal or next year?

Even if he wanted to give money back the players union would shoot it down.

If he re-upped for the same number he gets now it would be a pay cut of sorts.

It would be a tough spot to bring him back for a tenth year if he still hasn’t gotten to a NFCCG.

Then again, who is the replacement? Trey Lance? Several hurdles to climb there.

If Cowboys cut Dak, He'll sign with Washington. Cooper Rush leads Cowboys to a 6 and 11 record.. Lance 2-15

Dak's agent has said he won't play for a discount. Football is a business for Dak and he is unconcerned about wins or stats, only money.

Is the ball thrown to ceedee or another one where he has to make a miraculous catch which Dak get credit for? Just asking because most like won’t be on the numbers, won’t be positioned on correct shoulder, and then we will hear how it should’ve been caught.

Point is Parsons and ceedee is they have outplayed their first contracts just as well or better than Dak did on his rookie contract. Most will say but but they are first rounders, well that’s most likely why they will succeed with or without Dak. Dak most likely won’t succeed away from cowboys bc he won’t have this easy conference and support he has grown accustomed to here. Dak was paid, but let’s face it since being paid he hasn’t earned anything.

And if that happens, you are in-line for a top-2 draft pick and you draft his replacement

Id much rather 1 year of suffering than 8 more years of suffering with this guy. We had a bad year without Dak in 2020 and it netted us Micah

Jerry Jones gets richer without winning a Super Bowl in decades. Is he giving anyone a discount? The Dallas Cowboys get richer without winning a Super Bowl in decades. Are they giving anyone a discount? Prescott hasn’t been around even one decade without winning a Super Bowl. Why should he give anyone a discount? If Jerry doesn’t want him he can show him the door and someone else can be QB1 for the Cowboys. Jerry will do whatever he feels like doing under the circumstances and so will Dak Prescott. Any agent negotiating discounts will not attract clients and will quickly lose his certification from the Players Association.
