Sadly, Cowboy trolls where 100 million times worse on Romo then they've ever been on Dak. I defended Tony so much that I just don't have it in me to do it for Dak. He's on his own with these morons. I think most level headed folk realize that Dak isn't going to be a super star and he's also not going to be the reason your team loses.

Saying all that... He also ain't no Romo. Romo could carry a team and he did for years. When I'm gray and old I will always be sad that Witten and Romo didn't get a ring. Those 2 where stars in this league.

Don't know about that, I was a big Romo fan and yes took a lot of crap but no more than what I see Dak taking. Romo ended up retired without a ring, Dak still has a chance

I don't hate either QB. I root for Dak to succeed every single Sunday. He is completely capable of being a SB winning QB, but Tony was given an absolute gift of throwing a ball made of cowhide around a giant grass field. If we had 2014 Romo right now I'd buy tickets to the SB now.

As I said I like Romo as well.

Ummm, we had 2014 Romo. In 2014. What happened then? Oh wait. The refs, right?

If we had 2014 Romo now, he'd suffer the same snare he did in 2014: a defense that can't make the stops it needs to make. They have a chance to shore it up but it's not looking so hot at the moment.

Unfortunately the way this defense has looked you're not wrong. Both QBs get all the blame for their inept defenses. I saw someone saying earlier this week that they remembers the game vs the Broncos that Romo choked away the game. Dude throws for 500 yards 5 tds and his one mistake is all people talk about. No QB should lose after putting up 48 points and even worse get blamed for the loss. That's Cowboy trolls for ya.

Romo has only Romo to blame for an unfulfilling career. If the worst thing that happens to him is losing a playoff game he will have lived a pretty good life.

He never wanted it bad enough, and Parcells knew it ahead of time. Romo wanted to be a celebrity. Not a champion.

I believe Dak wants it much more than Romo ever did.

I don't agree, the man wanted it bad, you don't reenter a game with broken ribs and not want to win bad. Romo played hurt quite often, no doubt in my mind he put it on the line for this team. Taking a comment as that as trying to make into he did not want it, I don't agree.

Bashing Romo is typical idiocy from painfully uneducated football fans.

But you have to tolerate the riff-raff sometimes.

Romo wanted it so bad that he cried with his family after the Dez Caught It game. That broke my heart and made me root for him even more, but his body failed him.

This fan base will compare any quarterback to the ones who win super bowls and then if they win super bowls they’ll compare them to how good they were to those guys.

it’s the gift and curse of playing for this organization.

100% conjecture and your opinion that your entitled to but also wrong. You don’t go through the procedures with your back to play like he did if you don’t want to win and only to be a “celebrity” especially after that status had already been obtained

I've gone into detail here before on how eerie their careers are when it comes to stats and percentages. I won't go into detail again but their percentages in things like wins versus winning teams, playoff record, QB rating, are just about the same.

The only way Dak can separate himself from all his failures, and the failures of Romo and everyone going back 20+ years, is win in the postseason. All the Dak haters and the ones who wished death on him, they will give others the credit. No way will they admit they were wrong about Dak. But the true fans here will.

I really like our chances this year. We're just good enough in every department to make some noise. But, I am worried about our defense. If they can go back to holding teams to under 21 points again, we're winning the SB. If we didn't get my man Tyron Smith back, with Steele going down, I wouldn't say that. That's HUGE we got him back for the stretch run.

I stopped reading right at the point where he assigned wins and losses to a quarterback. That's for pitchers. He's getting his sports confused.

Commitment to the run has been an issue. As well as a stout defense. Those two problems have plagued this team for at least 13 years. So it's not either of those guys fault, it's on the GM. The team building style has been our main hinderance.
