On that noteMike finally opened the playbook and turned the page back to more of what KM was running. We saw mikes offense the first 6 games and it was terrible. This is a good example of how the offense needs to look and hopefully it helps open things up for the ground game.
I don't know if it was necessarily going back to what Moore was running or just noticing that Dak's progressions were taking him to the short route too often. It's not like we weren't running deeper routes. We just weren't throwing them because the read was taking us underneath to get the ball out quickly. There has to be a balance.Mike finally opened the playbook and turned the page back to more of what KM was running. We saw mikes offense the first 6 games and it was terrible. Agreed there has to be a balance but whatever they were coaching Dak to do, dump off the ball and let the skill guy get more yards wasn't working. I don't recall a 6 game stretch of this going on before and things were clearly different yesterday. I haven't verifies but heard they went back to using a little more motion and some other things Dak was used too. Whatever it is that made Dak look way more comfortable than he has looked all season needs to continue and expand on it. All 3 phases made contributions to the win, was a great game.I don't know if it was necessarily going back to what Moore was running or just noticing that Dak's progressions were taking him to the short route too often.
