well, we just need to keep it going. there is now 19,483,478 comments and 148,498 pages and 18933 threads on Dak..... and everyone of those has a new idea and argument...nothing is ever repetitive....so its refreshing to have another thread

Dak is worth 45M per year (just to be even controversial).

It’s not controversial, you’ll get more win shares out of Dak for 45m than the next few players who’s contracts add up to that amount

Win shares?

just his impact on the team’s success. If you bring in a better FS, a better DT, a better backup ILB and a better Punt returner for 45m per, they won’t come close to the productivity you’ll get from just signing Dak to be your QB over Dalton or Sanchez or whoever the next guy will be.

you can gamble in the draft, but you’ll lose 1-2 years as it’s unrealistic to expect someone to have the rookie year Dak did, and even productivity after that is a shot in the dark. You have a QB now you know is at minimum pro-bowl caliber, vs one you have no idea what he’ll ever be. It’s far better to sign the guy and accept it being a mistake later than to not sign him and regret it for the next decade
