Going for it was the right decision - a long FG there was not a gimme and you still don't win even if you make it. But the playcalling on 3rd down was horrible if they knew it was going to be 4-down territory. They could have tried something safer to pick up a few yards...then if it's 4th and short then you have the entire playbook open to do something.
Probably bc "was been".Someone enlighten me why you wouldn’t kick the field goal for the win?
You fail to see the whole equation. Even if he does make it, whcuh if you saw his kickoffs was low percentage, the game still isn’t over. GB probably comes back and scores a td anyway. The odds of making a 53 yard field goal with a kicker who can kick 63 and made 58 in pre-game has to be better than converting 4th and 4 with a very average QB.
I would have gone for it 100/100Getting 3 forces Green Bay to score and forces them to score 6 to win. It was an egregiously bad call given how the game was going. Once again, no one on the coaching staff has any feel for the game.
