I called going for it before third down so I agree with going for it. A missed fg was a big possibility that still would not have won the game.

Going for it was the right decision - a long FG there was not a gimme and you still don't win even if you make it. But the playcalling on 3rd down was horrible if they knew it was going to be 4-down territory. They could have tried something safer to pick up a few yards...then if it's 4th and short then you have the entire playbook open to do something.

Going for it is fine, but Pollard was ripping off 7 yard runs, we should have ran.

Getting 3 forces Green Bay to score and forces them to score 6 to win. It was an egregiously bad call given how the game was going. Once again, no one on the coaching staff has any feel for the game.

The odds of making a 53 yard field goal with a kicker who can kick 63 and made 58 in pre-game has to be better than converting 4th and 4 with a very average QB.
You fail to see the whole equation. Even if he does make it, whcuh if you saw his kickoffs was low percentage, the game still isn’t over. GB probably comes back and scores a td anyway.

Maher wasn't making FGs from that distant before the game.....neither was Crosby for the Packers......a FG was no give me.....plus you dont give Rogers the ball back....with a piss poor defense that sucked it up all night long...... MM new his defense couldn't stop Rogers

Even if we convert the 4th, it's fairly likely we still just end up with a FG try.

*Not* going for it let them win with a FG of their own instead of just tie. Which they did.
