Dak was continually told to "stay aggressive" this season

Say what you want about Dak, and there is a lot to say, but after each multi-pick performance this season he was encouraged from the top on down to "stay aggressive." Nobody put a leash on him. We still lined up in 5 wide on short down and distance and trusted Dak to hurl it into double coverage. The results were predictable. Nobody was going to go against the company narrative on Dak and admit he needed to be leashed.

Provide a link or it never happened. Not to spare KM of blame, but I'm very confident Dak audibled out of a great percentage of running plays this season trying to be the hero. Or trying to be aggressive if you want. Is being aggressive the reason why he threw 2 picks directly to the defense last night? I don't think so.

And in case your statement is true, that person needs his butt kicked for being stupid. Everyone who follows the NFL knows that putting a game into Dak's hands or urging him to be aggressive is about the dumbest move that could be made.

It's really those comeback ints that were ridiculous this season. It's one thing to be aggressive and throw ints 25+ yards down the field but to keep throwing INts on 10 yard sideline comebacks seems crazy. Someone could have worked less of those routes in or tried a different play design. Maybe have them fake a come back cut back inside or up the field. They run that a lot and defenses sit on it.

There's a difference between being aggressive and throwing into double coverage on 2nd and short when are about to go into half with the lead.

I'm all for launching it down field and stretching the field. But daks mistakes are him simply not seeing the field or seeing something different than his receivers.

You're right, they did tell him to get or stay aggressive because aggressive is good, but you need to know how to be smart to use aggression...and Dak does not play smart, he plays like he always has, and here we are.

The problem is, you need your QB to be aggressive at times. One of the biggest criticisms of Dak has been that he is not aggressive. He "needs receivers to be wide open".

He obviously tried to address that this season. It lead to some great plays at times. Plays we haven't seen from Dak. Good Dak.

Unfortunately he is just not built for it, so Bad Dak is always just a play away. Especially when the heat gets turned up.

Yes true, but Jerry believes he’s a QB as good as Mahomes, MM thinks he AR back there , the blame for this debacle is all on MM. The question is who is MM throwing under the bus Dak can’t drive, in the end JJ will do nothing and the beat goes on.

It is true. However it comes from a site that is banned here.

'i think the phrase we’ve used at various times is to aggressively take what they give us,' moore explained. 'because you can’t play passive. if you start playing small and not pushing, threatening the defense downfield, then they start shrinking. they start tightening up. and now your easier completions become harder completions.'".

I could understand throwing interceptions for the sake of being "aggressive." Hell, Brett Favre made a nice career of being an aggressive passer.

But the more and more I watch Dak, his throws are goofy, telegraphed throws to the sidelines or plays where he doesn't see the defender at all.

He's not being aggressive with the football; he's being stupid.

The narrative to 'stay aggressive' was to combat the reason Dak lost last year.. because he needs a receiver to be open for 4-5 seconds before he releases the ball.. Dak got sacked a lot last year because of it.

So to overcome one weakness.. they created another.

They just keep putting lipstick on the pig.. so many different colours, shades.. but Dak is still a pig.

Staying aggressive doesn't mean dumb. Dak makes bad choices. He led the league in interceptions, and I'm certain he let the league in dropped interceptions. You don't tell someone with accuracy issues to be aggressive, you're just asking for trouble.

There is a difference between staying aggressive and making bad reads/throws. Dak has been missing open WRs and not seeing defenders that go in and make a play. That's not being aggressive, that's making poor decisions.

Think there is a difference between aggressive and his decision making, reading defenses and making accurate throws..
