Size: 6-1, 244

Combine 40-yard dash: 4.70

POSITIVES

A very smart and high motor player. He is great at tackling ball carriers with very few missed tackles. He is aggressive and has improved his range in making plays all over the field. He's good against the run in terms of attacking ball carries and is good at reading what offensives are going to do in the passing game. He's a leader as far as making the defensive calls and rallying his teammates.

NEGATIVES

Sometimes he form tackles and that's bothered some scouts. He has average hands, which allows offensive linemen to push him out of the way on run plays. If McKillop gets away from them he normally makes plays. He's very aggressive, which could hurt him if he gets over runs plays.

COWBOY FIT

He has a nice fit here if he's around in the middle rounds. McKillop can play the linebacker spot that Zach Thomas and Akin Ayodele played the last two years. If Keith Brooking is a one-year stop gap next to Bradie James, McKillop might play this role because he's smart and quick enough to shed blockers

PITTSBURGH DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR PHIL BENNETT

"He was a blast. He plays fast and he doesn't waste a lot of steps. He's a hammer [strong]. I thought he played out of control when I first saw him on tape. But he found a way to get to the ball and over time he eliminated wasted steps. He's a got a great knack for coverage and he never comes out of a game. His pre-snap reads and his decision making is great. He sometimes gets into form tackling and he likes to wrestles guys. He was a wrestler in high school and sometimes that comes back when he's tackling guys. But if he gets his claws in you you're going down. In a 4-3 he's the middle guy, the Sam, but he can play the 3-4 too. He will be the first guy in the film room and stay late. He's not a big talker, he will knock you on your butt if he has to if he don't like the way you're practicing. You know what, when he came out of high school he had only one scholarship offer that was Pittsburgh."
