"Get your popcorn ready." -- Terrell Owens
Totally agree with you, JC!I may be one of the few. But I am excited over our 3 TE's and what they can possibly do this season.
If they keep 4 TE's. McKeon, as they seemed to like him, and Fant may even have some potential. At least to sit and learn if need be until called upon.
TE > RB group.
Is there a team in the league that can't put together a 1 minute highlight reel of their top 3 TEs (including college highlights)?
I think they keep McKeon unless Luepke or Fant prove to be worth keeping as a fullback instead. McKeon got some playing time as a third tight end last year, especially when Schultz was sidelined.Barring injury, the team will keep only 3 TE.
Ferguson and Hendershot were on the team last year, so the only meaningful change in the TE roster is swapping out Schultz for Schoonmaker in a cost saving move.
Time will tell on that one...
I think people underrate this. Could be a disaster. I like their potential but for next season? Who knows if they will be ready.or could be a disaster...
I'm guessing we most likely have fewer career receptions at the TE position than any other team. I'm optimistic, but stay tuned...
I agree that last TE spot might depend on Luepke. He has the potential to offer several things: run blocking, short yardage carries, pass protection, receiving, and special teams. That's a lot of "ifs", but there is the potential for Luepke to be on the field for quite a number of plays- much more than a 4th TE.I think they keep McKeon unless Luepke or Fant prove to be worth keeping as a fullback instead. McKeon got some playing time as a third tight end last year, especially when Schultz was sidelined.
