EA As it is mid-June, there's no way to tell how the seemingly loaded Dallas Cowboys will stack up against some stiff competition in the NFC East in 2010. But in the Madden universe, the team's prospects for the upcoming seasons are looking decidedly bright.
In Madden '11, which is scheduled for an August 10 release, the Cowboys are the best rated team in the NFC East, and among the best in the league. Dallas is rated an 87 out of 100, six points better than the second-highest rated division foe, the New York Giants (81).
Apparently due to the release of Flozell Adams and Ken Hamlin--because nothing else has really changed--this is actually a point less than their 2010 rating.
The highest rated team in the game is the New Orleans Saints with a 92; the Indianapolis Colts come in second with a rating of 91.
Tony Romo is the ninth highest-rated quarterback (which seems fairly debatable), and Dez Bryant is tied for the highest rated rookie at a skill position, with St. Louis's quarterback and no. 1 overall pick Sam Bradford. Interestingly, as is pointed out in the Dallas Morning News, Bryant is rated six points higher than DeMaryius Thomas, the first receiver taken in the draft, two spots ahead of Bryant, at 22nd overall.
