Each round for availability is based on Drafttek's latest mock. Dallas can only pick what's behind them at the end of the round obviously.
Which would you prefer to go with out of the 3 choices?

Mock Choice #1 - conservative and balance between winning now and future needs
1-#26. Steve Avila 6’3 331 LG TCU 100% this is pick #26 1st round RB/TE won’t be there. Biggest value to not get Dak injured is enough reason.

2-#58 Israel Abanikanda 5'11 215 RB Pitt -explosive- perfect zone one cut runner. 4.3 speed. A RB back that can ease the return of injured Pollard and split carries. In the future, the talent is there to let Pollad walk after this season which saves important cap space for Dak, Lamb, Cooks, Diggs (or Gilmore) and Micha.

3-#90 Luke Schoonmaker 6'5 255 TE Mich.- 4.63 ARM 32 7/8 Looks a bit like Schultz out there. Great blocker.

4-#129 Antonio Mafi 6'4 335 OG UCLA - elite run-blocker. average pass protector. Converted DT - with a year and Biadaz hitting FA. Avila can move over to center and Mafi steps in. Important cap space saved.

5-#176 Kendre Miller 6'0 225 RB TCU - runs like MB a little. Ave. 6.2 yds last season. Shifty and tough. I'm rolling with Abandikanda and Miller in 2024.

6-#212 Rejzohn Wright 6'2 193 CB Oreg.ST. - size and length Dallas likes. Worth a shot this late.

7-# 244 Charles Jones WR 5'11 175 WR Purdue - 4.43 - explosive and has the height to play 4th receiver outside or in and special teams.

Choice #2 - Emmanuel Forbes falls
1-#26
Emmanuel Forbes . 6'1 166 CB Miss 4.35 - 10 yard-1.48 -absolute ballhawk - 2nd to only Devon Witherspoon in % of 1st downs/TDs allowed. This is a scenario where BPA is significant enough to change plans.

2-#58 Dawand Jones 6'8 375 36 ARM 11in Hand - he would have no problem playing guard and later right tackle if needed later in 2024

3-#90 Luke Schoonmaker 6'5 255 TE Mich.- 4.63 ARM 32 7/8 Looks a bit like Schultz out there. Great blocker.

4-#129 Juice Scruggs - 6'3 301 C Penn St. - 33 1/4 - future center possibility. Described as a block of granite with outstanding arm length/team captain. Again, I don't see them being able to keep Biadaz.

5-#176 Kendre Miller 6'0 225 RB TCU - runs like MB a little. Ave. 6.2 yds last season. Shifty and tough. I'm rolling with Abandikanda and Miller in 2024.

6-#212 Clayton Tune 6'3 220 QB Houston - 40 TD 10 INT. 4.64 40. - talented arm and worth a shot at this point. If you ever hit and save a ton of $ this is an acceptable and unoffensive round to do that in

7-# 244 Charles Jones WR 5'11 175 WR Purdue - 4.43 - explosive and has the height to play 4th receiver outside or in and special teams.

Choice #3 - Juicing the Offense Now
1-#26
Zay Flowers - (with Jalin Hyatt off the board), 5'9 WR 182 Boston - he had a terrible QB and when the ball is in Flower's hands, he has elite traits and the ability to take to the house. He is also not fragile like Downs or Dell. Seems to have better vision and long speed for underneath routes. A weapon for the playoffs.

2-#58 Israel Abanikanda 5'11 215 RB Pitt -explosive- perfect zone one cut runner. 4.3 speed. A RB back that can ease the return of injured Pollard and split carries. In the future, the talent is there to let Pollad walk after this season which saves important cap space for Dak, Lamb,

3-#90 Tyler Scott 5'10 177 WR Cinn. 4.44 - incredible speed transitioning after the catch. Comps are TY Hilton.

4-#129 Antonio Mafi 6'4 335 OG UCLA - elite run-blocker. average pass protector. Converted DT - with a year and Biadaz hitting FA. Avila can move over to center and Mafi steps in. Important cap space saved

5-#176 Payne Durham 6’6 255 TE Purdue - 4.87 ARM 33 3/8– Looks like a young Witten with the way he moves. Just tough to defend. Great blocker. Athletic.
I'm fine with either even though Durham is a bit of a reach here, I think size and reach is everything in the end zone and running up the seams or boxing out.

6-#212 Kendre Miller 6'0 225 RB TCU - runs like MB a little. Ave. 6.2 yds last season. Shifty and tough. I'm rolling with Abandikanda and Miller in 2024.

7-#244 John Ojukwu 6'6 309 OT Boise ST. - great late round pick for a potential swing tackle/RT - Dallas will draft at least one Boise St. player each draft.

I almost put him in at 6 but it was hard to find enough info on and see him play.
I think that he was a 30 visit for 14 teams. I hope that we get him. He looks like another Kearse type player. He just had surgery on his pec. He should be ready for training camp. He looks like he has a chance of being a really good player. I suspect that he doesn't make it past the 4th round.

Mock choice #1 for me. Admittedly, Avila at #26 is a bit of a reach. But I would rather reach a little than miss.

Mock #2 for me. The only knock on Forbes is his weight. He’d probably be a top 10 pick if he weighed 190. We can feed the boy.

I don't think that his weight matters that much. The main thing is his coverage and ball skills. He could very well replace Diggs.

All 3 are horrid. Ignores the strengths of the draft and reaches for need.

Lol. “Ignores the strengths of the draft.” The premise of drafting based on the strengths of the draft is fatally flawed. Yr hoping a player that you like in all areas ranked higher or in yr round in a position of need falls to you. Also not one player is a reach.
