Dallas Needs More "New" Plays

If you read the post about Dallas taking plays from Jacksonville, the one that got us a 1st on 4th dowm, we need more plays like that.

With T.Y. in the mix, this team is a lot more difficult to prepare for.

You can negate a team's preperation by adding new plays.

I have a feeling the Cowboys will look very different in the playoffs on both sides of the ball.

we need better designed/disguised plays for the run game.....the run play designs are so obvious and you can easily tell if they are running left or right or up the middle....how many times have you seen the WRs run across the formation, slow down just before the snap and the run goes to that direction....as if that's going to fool the defense and all defense has to do is flood that side and take away running lanes....

I hope you are right. I want McCarthy to take over the offense. I also hope that the defense has been playing rope a dope and steps up. I think the run D is a problem that can’t be solved.

I see Hilton making a bigger impact on offense and Parsons role tweaked on D.

I don’t see any creativity with the Cowboys run game whatsoever. Not surprising as I haven’t really for years. But it’s basically ‘try to run inside’ - didn’t work - ‘pitch outside’ - didn’t work. I don’t think we’ve had an offensive coordinator that effectively game planned if we’ll since the late Tony Sparano.

We have had ‘pass happy’ coordinators for decades now. No interest in the ‘boring’ running game.

I would like to see more creativity out of the running game. I saw a draw play last night for the first time in forever. Also what happened to having Tony and Zeke in the backfield together? Think I’ve seen that like a handful of times total this season. Maybe a counter or two would be nice as well

Kellen Moore has ALOT of plays and runs alot of different plays that look similar to what youve already seen

we need him more than anything to just have more of a feel for the game because he doesnt especially when we have momentum

Id argues the last few games they been playing a lot of straight up gameplans, not vanilla but nothing newly designed/exotic wrinkles etc and still winning. We are 12-4

The velcro tape play. Snap the ball to Dak, Dak applies velcro tape to ball, Dak attaches ball to back of Pollard just below helmet, Dak fakes like he still has the rock, and Pollard runs for long TD with ball attached to his back.

I call it the 'Velcro Parfume". It's also a fragrance...for the ladies.
