Was Bryant a DT at one point?
Yeah, looks like he was recruited to be an OL but Memphis moved him to defense originally and then moved him back as a senior. Chargers gave him a camp invite as a DT.

How does a reserve/future list work?

It is a player signed in the off-season before Free Agency starts. Players that were not on a team for the last game of the season are free to sign with teams before Free Agency officially starts.

I learn something new every day. I really have not heard of that before, or did not pay attention to those details.

in other words more camp crap being brought in.
Well yeah, every team has to do it. They have a 90 man roster to take to camp. Best to get those types in as soon as possible to learn the system.

I'm just happy that they're making moves at the spots that I feel need the most work - the trenches.

Not saying that we have any answers here, but I'm very glad that they're looking.

And I hope that it's indicative of the organization realizing their greatest weakness and doing anything they can to attempt to fix it.

Hopefully the mindset carries over to both the draft and free agency.

We did recently spend a top-10 pick in the draft, spent significant salary cap dollars on our other OT, and added two veteran OGs in FA last season while allocating a significant number of our expanded roster spots to college FAs last training camp. Traded a 7th for a back up OC. Switched OL coaches.

It's not like the team isn't turning over rocks trying to find value OLs. They're just not spending top picks on the interior positions, and they haven't had the success we'd like yet.

Overall, though, I agree. These signings aren't anything to get excited about, but it's definitely an indication they're still turning over rocks. Whereas last offseason, I thought it was obvious the priority should be addressing the defensive secondary, I think everyone agrees this season we'll be looking to continue the process of improving the OL, blocking TE, and maybe FB positions.
