Several trades down
18.Jalon Walker LB Georgia
47. Deone Walker DT Kentucky
87. Kyle Monangai RB Rutgers
117. Lander Barton LB Utah
123. Jamon Dumas-Johnson LB Kentucky
149. Cam Skattebo RB Arizona State
171. Patrick Jenkins DT Tulane
172. Mike Green EDGE Marshall
200. Nofoafia Tulafono OC Wyoming
213. Thor Griffith DT Louisville
236. D.J. Uiagalelei QB Florida State
2026 SEA 3rd
2026 ARI 4th
Now the why I picked these.
Jalon Walker -- kind of a M Parsons protégé
Deone Walker -- need to improve the DL and he is very quick for his size -- very high ceiling
Kyle Monangai -- I just like his running style, and vision. Not a speed back, but more a deliberate one like Emmitt was.
Lander Barton and Jamon Dumas-Johnson ---- need a legit Mike and hoping one or both can develop quickly -- competition
Cam Skattebo -- Not sure how you could go wrong with him. Red Zone and short yardage back at least.
Patrick Jenkins -- 5T to play opposite Chancey Golston (who gets resigned)
Mike Green -- can never have too many rushers (probable start practice squad)
Tulafono -- developmental OL (probable start practice squad)
Thor Griffith -- smart 2 gap trashcan full of dirt.
DJ Uiagalelei -- you have Dak for three more years. It may take that long for this guy to develop......but if he does, he has the skills needed
Assuming they resign Golston, Turpin, Bell, and Lawson.
Assuming Osa, Tank gone. Basically let most of the others go to sign Parsons to a big deal. Rico leaves.
Assuming New HC and OC and DC. (need some young blood that is determined to succeed, not resting on their previous success)
Assuming their #2 WR comes from Jalen, Brooks, Mingo or FA.
On offense: I added two more RB -- keep Vaughn (as a gadget guy) and Luepke. Monangai or Skattebo should be able to be the bell cow, with Luepke acting somewhat like a Daryl Johnston, and Vaughn as a gadget guy.... I think this could work well. Dak now has a legit developmental QB behind him. OL gets another developmental guy. TE still strong. WR still has a legit #1. OL should be fine, at least to find out what you have and let them do more power running.
On defense: I like to be able to adjust to what the offense does well (and take that away), so the draft was centered around being able to play both 4-3 and 3-4 with a large nickel ability.
JWalker and Parsons become your 3-4 OLB in the 3-4 and both have the ability to play and of the three LB spots in the 4-3. No more wearing down Parsons as you have 2 now, which makes you much more versatile. Great pass rush, but both have speed to cover as well.
Thor, and Rogers become your NT. Rotational depth and goal line strength.
DWalker and Mazi can play anywhere down the line now. Size and strength with backup to each other or playing together.
Jenkins and Golston can be your 5T. -- they can move to DE as needed for backup or against strong outside run teams.
Kneeland and Williams as primary DE in the 4-3 and pass rush in the nickel as needed depth. Carl Lawson as DE/5T tweener.
Barton and Dumas-Johnson need to develop quickly as one will be the Mike. They have two jobs most of the time -- shut down runs or read pass and take away middle.
Liufau and Clark -- Will most of the time, but can play some SAM if they are in the 4-3. Overshown if he comes back would make the LEO with swaps with SS - legit.
Diggs, Bland, Lewis, Carson --- two on the field at all times, and usually 3
Hooker, JThomas as the FS, but may come off the field for CBs when Dallas needs to man up.
DWilson, Bell, need to be able to help on run and cover a zone with LB switches as needed. (the ability to switch with LB's makes these two very versatile, just don't ask them to man cover the elite TEs)
I personally think this would make them extremely versatile and elite with their ability to change and adjust to the strengths of the other teams offense.
Would you be happy this draft? Thoughts?
