He looks like the player James Hanna developed into for the Cowboys.
Very effective blocker despite being in that 240 to 250 range. Like Hanna he is a technique blocker vs an overpowering but sloppy blocker like MartyB when he was here.
The Cowboys are much more concerned about TEs blocking with precision than dominant physical blocking. Block the right guy from the right angle just long enough on run plays. Let defenders take themselves out of position when possible.
Also scheme knowledge that allows the TE to function as as both a move blocker (H-Back) and Inline blocker.
Back in the MartyB days he was a very powerful blocker but was often replaced by John Phillips for any type of move blocking or non-Inline alignments.
Much like Hanna with the Cowboys, it appears Shultz was often just used as an underneath outlet receiver.
