This is the biggest game in recent memory for the Cowboys. If they can win this they advance to the NFCCG for the first time in 27 freaking years. I think the big wild card here is that DQ knows Shanahan. Very well. I know last year he was here too but we have since added pieces to that defense and I think that DQ will factor in big time this week in prep. Here is to hoping he gets his scheme right and confuses the rookie.

I just hope this doesn't go the way of the Rams game. I feel that Rams team and this Niners team are very similar. Both have QBs who in a vacuum don't really scare you but in those systems with their coaching, do very well. Both had weapons all over the place. And the Rams destroyed us all night long.

This is the type of game to show us where we are. Are we legit or just a team who beat a very bad Tampa team.

As has been noted, Shanahan also knows Quinn very well...although Quinn runs the defense quite differently in Dallas than he did in Atlanta.
And San Francisco has added pieces to that offense, including some guy named McCaffrey.
Confusing the rookie won't matter if they run all over Dallas again.
If Dallas can somehow force them into obvious passing situations, I think there's a great chance of forcing some costly errors. But getting them there won't be easy.

Even if we stop the run, can we slow down their passing game? I think it will take a much more complete game to stop SF than it would be to stop Philly

I’ll take my chances with Purdy ‘beating me’ than getting bludgeoned by that running game all day.

I’m more confident in our current secondary with Nahshon Wrong on the bench (or better yet inactive).

Do the same as they did against TB. Use the safeties over CBs.

It’s the biggest game since the 2018 season when we faced the Rams on the road in the divisional round. We couldn’t stop the Rams running game that day. A couple of backs put up over 100 yards on us. Stopping the run will be a big key this Sunday. If we can’t do it, it’s going to be a long day.
