Dan Quinns defense will take on his former OC in Atlanta. My question is, with them beign somewhat familiar with ine another does the advantage go to the Defense or Offense?

Round 1 typically goes to the Offense because they can manipulate and change almost everything they do, to attack a defenses perceived weakness if that is the option they want to go. Shanahan is known to tailor his game plans around the weakness of a Defense and his offensive strengths.

Round 2 should be better suited towards the defense. Considering they now know the offense's game plan to attach whatever weakness you have, you can adjust a lot of things to make up for it. I feel like Quinn made some things happen in the second half of last years game, that worked. Lots of personnel variables are at play here so SF has some new toys to manipulate our D with. You would think a screen heavy playsheet is at play for SF along with a heavy run game that is full of misdirection.

Last year was last year. Can't carry that over to this year.
Dallas defense is much better than last years game.

SF now has CMC as well as Deebo and Aiyuk has been better also. So they need to be accounted for. Purdy has looked great, however, he hasn't faced many really good defenses yet.

Our offense will depend which one shows up, they one like again TB last night and Minnesota, or the on from the past 4 or 5 games prior to last night.

Probably 80% of the Falcons fans are not going to watch this game.
1) The older ones recall the team being in the NFC West, and being manhandled by the Forty-Niners year in and year out.
2) They also remember the playoff losses to the Cowboys after the '78 and '80 regular seasons.
3) One of the all- time Falcons greats - Deion Sanders - left Atlanta to play in San Francisco, then later went to play in Dallas - and one Super Bowls at each stop.
3) They know '28-3' will be referenced throughout the broadcast.

DQ interviews with Denver Friday and Demaco Ryan’s interviews with them on Thursday. I assume both via Zoom

did you watch RD 1 of this matchup?
Yeah Deebo killed us, 49er passing game did little threw for 172 and an int no TD. Kittle has 1 catch. The big difference was Samuel running the ball. Flips side Dallas offense never got much going in that game. Offense has to show up big in this game

They didn't have McCaffrey last year. He has completely changed that offense. Samual now moving everywhere. And Purdy is an upgrade over Garropolo

we lost by 6 and played like garbage SIX and basically gave the game away. I imagine this should be bit better rematch,

so let's limit those penalties and play a little better on offense, so DQ can have better shot. Our OL, no run game, and all those penalties lost that game, not DQ gameplan.

This was the Cowboys focus entering this season after a bitter loss to San Fran. They get their shot at redemption.

Yet i saw the raiders nearly beat them in OT and Hawks stayed with them for 40mins. they are great but not unbeatable. got to play a clean as possible and we have shot..we are better then the raiders or Seattle.

yes a much tougher battle coming then last night but we have shot and that all that matters,

Quinn and the 49ers DC are both interviewing for jobs so hopefully they are distracted and we'll take our chances

Yes I know, hence the "new toys" comment. Overall I was speaking in general terms in regards to a defensive coach vs offensive coach and how they matchup.

Advantage has to go to the defense... but will it matter? Everyone knows what the 49ers do every game, but can you stop them? Kinda like a one armed Emmitt and the o line.. You know whats coming, but you still cant stop it.

yeah, we need complimentary football.
Defense cant let their offense sustain long drives, and our offense would need to do the same to keep the defense fresh. Cant have a lot of 3 n outs. I feel like if our offense was clicking last year we blow them out.
