Dan Quinn's defense

Can someone tell me what he's done the past 5-6 weeks? His whole defense to me seems predicated on just relying on Micah parsons to make plays for him. Teams have adjusted, they are either doubling Micah, or getting the ball out very quick. I get it there have been injuries on our end. However there has been no adjustment on Quinns end to counter anything it seems. Since Minnesota this defense has not been the same.

I really think this team needs to get back to focusing on stopping the run. More Hankins and LVE when they are back. If you give up some pass rush so be it. Can't continue to let these teams gash us in the run game. Stop them early and then unleash the pass rush like early in the year.

Also against sideline to sideline teams like the eagles or 49ers, maybe play Micah at lb some more. Let him help in the run game to get to those third and longs.

I don't think this defense has been the same since Brown went down. They are being held hostage by the left CB spot.

Our current LB’s aren’t ver good. Barr is just ok, and Clark is young. He missed an easy tackle on Howell on the QB sneak for a TD. LVE is missed and hopefully is ready to go. That will help. Outside of that he’s not going change. It is what it is.

Sure wish we had the DT who played on the other side who helped shut our run game down and had 5 tackles and 3 solo.

Injuries and poor overall talent and lack of depth caught up with them a month ago. The defense wasn’t the problem today being handed bad field position and 3 and outs from the offense. It is smoke and mirrors at this point…..

How does he improve the DT’s?

Should have impressed Mac and Jerry to bring in Quality DTs , or atleast use the able bodies in good rotation so that they are fresher and fighting every play. if you see last 4-5 games Watkins has played a lot of snaps and that is bad , Gallimore showed potential before injury this year he is completely invisible , Osa had faded again, we got rid of Hill but I think he was tad better than 2022 Gallimore or Watkins. Those are coaching failures

He might actually be a better HC than DC Seriously...outside of inheriting a Seattle Legion of Boom defense that Pete Carroll built, has he really proven himself as a great DC in his career?

he is really raw,i expect this from LSU players.

When Quinn was with Atlanta, his defenses were pretty horrible. I am actually surprised he got as much out of this roster as he did because overall the DL is very average and the secondary is missing two starters. The Cowboys were fortunate the drafted Bland and he turned out to be a player. But they were woefully unprepared for an injury to Anthony Brown.
