Dan Quinn's game plan against Philly's offense

The Eagles offense has had at least 3 games where they got off to hot starts by scoring TDs on 2 or 3 drives. But then scored very little to no points after those hot offensive starts. Some fans might speculate that it's because of the Eagles coaching staff deciding to go conservative after jumping out to double digit leads.

But, if the defenses in those games contributed to the Eagles offense slowing down by making adjustments, I'm sure Dan Quinn is looking at the film to see what they did.

I think this is going to be difficult for both teams. We need to stop Sanders first IMO. The rush also can’t fly past Hurts as he will just take off. He’s not very accurate and has always played poorly against us which helps. I’m more concerned about our O against their D.

The same game plan the Cowboys used the last two times we beat Eagles when Hurts was the quarterback. The defense will be fine this game. We just need the offense to step up.

From what I have seen Hurts is a better player today than last season. He is showing the ability to throw from the pocket, last season he was hitting 61% of this passes, this season it has jumped to 67%. He has good weapons with AJ Brown and Devonta Smith as well as a good run game with Sanders . Defense will have their work cut out for them.

Stop the run...same priority as every game. Consistently have them playing behind the sticks so the pass rush can get a sack or mistake out of Hurts. Spy him often and limit man coverage so LBs and DBs don't have their backs turned to Hurts.

I feel one hundred percent confident if we make Hurts throw 30-40 times we will win comfortably

however...if they start running the ball and especially outside away from dware and theh have sucess we're looking at a loooonnngggg game

Stop the run game and force Hurts to stay in the pocket.

If the Cowboys can go up 7-10 points early on, and force Hurts to throw the ball a lot, the defense could have a field day.

The Eagles have a lot of talent at the skill positions, and a really good offensive line when healthy.

Play disciplined gap integrity to stop the run.

Spy Hurts to avoid big plays on passing downs.

Less blitzing, try to get home with four.

Let anyone but Hurts hurt you. Hit him regularly while keeping him in the pocket. When he runs, hit him. Make him find the right receiver and pass from the pocket. That’s not as easy as it sounds….the Eagles are a run first team and happy to run their QB regularly.

Just like Hurts and the Eagles offense has gotten better so has Parsons and our defense. Nobody knows Hurts better then Diggs. He is a good quarterback but he is not in the same league as Brady, Stafford, and Burrow. I think Danny Dimes is in the same league as Hurts but does not have his weapons.

Dallas can win this game, defense however will have their work cut out for them. Dallas Goedert is putting up impressive numbers at TE to go along with Brown and Smith on the outside and of course the run game Sanders currently 3rd in the NFL. This will be a very good test for the Cowboys. I hate Philly probably more than any team out there but I'm not blind to what I see, this is a much improved Eagles team Dallas will be facing and they are playing with a lot of confidence. Cowboys will need to play very good ball if they hope to come out with the win. Our offense will need to up their game, we need to do a much better job on 3rd down in converting them and we will need WR to go out and make some big plays for us. If Not, Philly will sit on the run until you can force them to back off.
