Must Watch IMO - I know a lot of like Dane but Tice is good too.

Dane indicates DL is the strength of the class. Good year to make our weakness a strength for the future.

Oregon - Derrick Harmon top 20? Time to go watch.
as deep as this draft is in RBs we can maybe use two of those fifths we got and move up into the fourth and get one.
I would love two of our top three picks being DL

Good chance BPA is going to be DL early and often.

I still think we have to sign at least 1, ideally 2 FA DTs, next year if we actually
want to try to be good.

I might even consider using 2 top 100 picks at the position!
With how many needs we have not sure I’d do that unless it’s a DE/DT hybrid type player.

I’d prefer to draft someone in the 1st/2nd then maybe get one of this solid run clogged lasts in the draft.

We also have to consider if the team hires more of a 3-4 scheme DC: BB/Vrabel/Saleh all run that scheme. The 3 man line would consist of:

-Over 300 LB 3T
-2 Gap NT
-5T 3-4 DE which is like another NT

I don’t think that would make a drastic difference. Most modern teams don’t stick to 4/3 or 3/4 exclusively so just give me the best players. 20 years ago maybe but not so much now.

Looking for “types” has burned us in the draft prior.

I agree and disagree. Teams play nickel more then the base in today's game, but the personnel is different for each scheme. Sure, you can find players who can play in any formation, but some others cannot, for example Osa is strictly a 4-3 only DT. To be able to play better against the run, they have to move away from these undersized, quick twitch lineman that Marinelli/Quinn covet.

Harmon and Nolan will be an interesting fight for the top pure 3T (I have Graham as a 3T/1T). If we are high enough in the 2nd round, one of them could actually be in play. Especially if teams favor the bigger DT's like Grant and Williams

That’s fair - fortunately for us a lot of these DTs in this class would fit in either scheme.
