Daniel Jeremiah 2022 NFL mock draft 3.1: Chiefs add receiver in Round 1 after Tyreek Hill trade

In that scenario I’m taking Zion only if we feel he can play center or if we feel Linderbaum is not able to play center in our scheme

otherwise I’m taking Linderbaum

I think Zion is going to be our pick in at least 70% of all media mocks until the draft

I just can’t see the Cowboys drafting a short, slow one position guard with their first round pick. We will see.

I'm not passing on Linderbaum for Zion.

My question about Linderbaum and not seeing him play. I watch every Cowboys game and got tired of Bydaz (sp) getting
pushed back into Prescott how is Linderbaum on strength and at the point of attack

Every time I see these mocks, I choke on the Giants and Eagles have multiple picks before we even make our first pick.

The Eagles would have quite a defensive haul, fixing some big issues with this draft.

Lance on NFL thinks Johnson gets down graded on movement ability like reach blocks, pulling, blocking moving targets etc. He does have plenty of strength to hold up against the bull rushers in pass protection. He calls him a phone booth guard. On the flip side Green is very good at blocking in space and on the move.

Zion's got the squatty, super-thicc build of a phone booth power guard, but he's actually a monster athlete.

Not a sexy pick, but I’d be fine with it.

Dude is arguably LG1 and a fringe 1st rounder that fills our biggest need.

I would. There are two OGs who would be starters on day one just as Linderbaum would be a starting C. But our center is not a weakness. Our LG position is void.

IMHO, the center is the key to the effectiveness of the entire O-line. If you're weak there, all else fails.
If Biadasz can add functional strength and learn how to anchor against a bull rush better great, I'd be beyond happy to keep him.

Not overly excited about any of the guys that could potentially be available but he’s a solid player. In this scenario I would probably take Dean. I just think he’s the better player.

Zion Johnson
6'2-5/8", 312
Arm Length 34"
Position: OG and OC
Measurables are better than Travis Frederick in all categories...

Measurables didn't prevent Frederick from a multi-time Pro Bowlers and All-Pro.
