DaRon Bland getting ready for Year 4

I have faith in Bland. Not so sure about who's going to be the other CB, as Diggs will be out for part of the season.
I don’t think Diggs is 100% this year. He may be healthy but it takes time to get back ready to play the mental and physical parts of football. One thing that may help him is he’s done it before

reports are he’s not going to ready until mid season

I like where the emphasis is for Bland in his offseason training...speed. Bland seemed to be one step slow on a lot plays if I remember correctly, so with a little more turnover he can make a play. I would put that treadmill on it's highest incline and make him run and keep his for a certain duration.

Hope I’m wrong but I have no faith in Carson. It’s tough with draft to because we have so many needs.
Can’t say I saw enough of him to call it for now, but it’s not very often fifth round picks step right in and get it right away, if ever.

Yet somehow this time every year this FO and many fans think we are going to fill a handful of needs in the upcoming draft, and throw them out there immediately and have it go well.

As I’ve said 300 times, they would need to be the best drafting team in league history…and do so consistently…for their plan to coincide with winning.

They nailed one with Bland in the fifth, but now it’s about time to pay him already. Can’t build a roster fast enough with draft only, and if you get lucky and do, it still won’t be enough to get over the hump (see 2021-23). They don’t get that either, so even best case is set for failure, which is why I finally gave up hope.

I think the shoulder injury hurt Carson's development last year. Because there was a lot of buzz around him in camp before he got hurt.
If he chose to be on the field I don’t want to hear excuses. He was getting beat like a drum last year.

Well for one he was coming off a injury last year eased into uh oh a brand new defense course he could be thinking and slowed a bit... so maybe he gets through camp fully healthy and is comfortable in the new defense, so he will be able to just react and be his old self, they will, likely add a vet corner before game one and get anther in the draft waiting on butler and diggs to come back wil force them to do this.....

I think it was more about being a 5th round rookie corner than his shoulder.

I realize how this front office operates, but does any reasonably knowledgeable fan expect guys like that to be a good player immediately?

They usually aren’t. I think they started him week one also, along with the two OL. They honestly think every draft provides immediate impact starters, even into the middle rounds….and is a large part of why they don’t win.

TBH really

they cannot rush Diggs back his procedure was related to cartilage in his knee, more or less a cartilage graft
