It's criminal that Woodson hasn't been inducted yet. It's unfortunate his name is just one of many well deserved former Cowboy greats that the HOF passes over each year. We talk about it each year. This year is just the next chapter of that discussion.

I've been advocating for a long long time the HOF should dedicate one year to just the Cowboys. There are enough to fill an entire HOF class. I know that will never happen though. In the meantime, they should at least make an effort to right so many wrongs.

Up to a maximum of five, of the fifteen Modern Era players shown, will get elected. The remaining 2025 Class will be supplemented with an additional maximum of three picked from the Seniors category.

This is all speculation on my part but I believe Terrell Suggs, Eli Manning and Luke Kuechly will be selected. The Hall's press release features the combined photos, of those three specific players, at the top of its official announcement. The Hall has likely done the same with previous press releases that I have not paid closer attention to it doing something similar. I do believe most site announcements, not focused on a single player, coach, etc., carry a generic background of the Hall itself in an article header like this (link).

Just have an uneasy feeling that, out of all the finalists, those three particular players get the photo treatment--with Manning being the media darling of the bunch (vomit). The Hall could have eased my suspicious with a single background photo of Adam Vinatieri doing his patented fist pump. THAT would have kept me guessing, lol.

If my suspicion is true, Darren Woodson's selection will be up against a maximum of two remaining peers. I believe he has a solid argument for accumulating 80% of the Board of Selectors votes but a number of other finalists do as well. Jahri Evans, Torry Holt and Reggie Wayne are his main competitors for those slots in my opinion.

Of course, the Board can screw him and other players again by keeping the class as small as possible. Overall class sizes can be as few as four new members according to its own bylaws.

It's sad that Manning with a career rating of 84.1 might make it over Woodson all because his team won a couple of Super Bowls with him at QB. He doesn't have a top completion percentage for the era, his TD-to-int. rate is not great (366 TDs/244 ints.). The only things he has going for him are the two rings and the fact that he played long enough to finish with 57,000 yards passing.

EXACTLY. The only attention he got besides the two SBs was that he was a Giant and all the eastern media drooled over him
