Was reminiscing in another thread about media day at the 1994 Pro Bowl. It made me think of some funny stuff with Moose.

Back then I was a DJ on the radio out in Honolulu. I was dispatched to media day to get some sound bites from the pro bowlers. Well, I went to the Cowboy players first, of course. I was doing a little impromtu interview with Daryl Johnston:

Me: So, do you like being called 'Moose'?

Moose: Well, there are worse nicknames, I suppose.

Me: True...I mean, they could have called you 'The Beaver'.

Moose: Right. That would be a little too feminine.

Me: Ohhh, a dirty mind! The word 'Beaver' relates to females, huh Moose?

At this point, DJ kind of laughs and while he was laughing he reached up and kind of clapped me on the shoulder. Then he squeezed it real, REAL hard and said "You're a funny guy." Then I did my Tommy from 'Goodfellas' ("Funny? I'm funny how? Like I'm a clown? I'm here to amuse you?") He liked that, too.

Anyway, no point to this story. Just a little brush with greatness. :)

My son plays in the pee wee Plano Football League. Each year they do a end of year banquet and they have a guest speaker. Last year it was Troy Aikman, but my son was not in the league last year.

This year it is going to be Daryl Johnston and I am really looking forward to meeting him.

I love it when Moose does Cowboys games. When the Cowboys do good he talks about why they did good. When the Cowboys aren't doing good he talks about what they need to do to get back in the game. He really has to force himself to talk about the other team.

That was pretty funny!

So, did you use that sound bite?

Not that one. We used the ones of the players saying "Hi, this is Daryl Johnston of the Dallas Cowboys. Hawaii's hottest music is on I-94"

Yep, it is. Thanks. (Although at least one Zoner seems to think she is too masculine.) :laugh2:

You should of knocked his hand off yourr shoulder and kicked his BEAVER ***!

Tass, those pictures of your alluring wife are cruel and unusual punishment. She is in Iraq, correct? Don't you go crazy with all those wolves lurking in the hen house?

Maybe that Zoner who thinks your wife is too masculine is really too feminine. When is she coming back forever, so to speak...

Too masculine? Who was the idiot that said that? Gorgeous is more like it.

Thanks. I don't even remember who it was. Just remember him saying she looked masculine. (Are you kidding? Refer to this thread, please. http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26722&page=62 ) Not the nicest poster on the board, obviously...and with crappy taste, IMO.

Nah...she's not a hen. She's more like the farmer's wife with an M16 guarding the henhouse.

:shoot3:
