This video supports everything I have said the past 2+ weeks and for the past 2+ seasons. People wonder why I'm still defending Dak? This video and breakdown by David Carr fully explains why. It's not all on Dak. Dak has had no chance for quite some time playing under Kellen Moore as his O-Coordinator and this ownership's personnel and coaching decisions. What a joke.

This is why the O-Coordinator, Oline coach, QBs coach and RBs coach are no longer here. Exactly why they were all fired recently. I wonder why the WRs coach has not been fired yet? What a total mess this Offense has been from the ground up, especially with player personnel and especially play designs/concepts. Absolutely gave your QB no help whatsoever.

I'll wait for the apologies for being attacked the past 2+ weeks for defending Dak and stating over and over It's not all on Dak, but I know I won't get them. Hope people better understand now what the issue has been. Lots of problems with this Offense.

But what's odd is how this is the same offense that ranked top 5 2-3 years. How do we explain that? Guess it's like a basketball player averaging 50-60 points a game but his team is still losing.

This Offense was effective against the lesser Defenses, but against the more talented and smarter ones, it struggled badly to put up points for the reasons mentioned in the opening post video.

He dissects our passing game and tells some brutal truths.

And, too, blokes he displays a dry sence of humor.:)

Holla and brings me a dollah

I cannot stand film reviewers who constantly run 1-2 second play loops over and over and over and over.

Either run it and stop it while you talk, or wait to run it when you're done making your point.

Watching the video in 1-2 second loops dozens of times including several times per sentence was painful to watch and made pressing the STOP button a very satisfying conclusion.

The final point is what is important

“30-40% of your offense needs to be gimmes”

You need to have a scheme that can get easy success. The issue many of us have is, there is no easy success in that offense. Nowhere near 30%. D Carr does a great job of explaining the difference between the elite play callers and their scheme and KM

You move the goalposts so much that maybe you're to blame for Maher no longer being able to hit extra points.

Who said this? "Kellen Moore was more to blame for that 2nd INT. 2nd and 2 @ the 49ers 18 yard line. No way in hell should you have called a pass play, especially 4 spread out wide when your Oline was struggling to block the 49ers 4 down Dline pass rushers. Run the darn ball!!! That was more on the O-Coordinator than the QB. That's why Kellen Moore (and not Dak) is now gone."

That's not how Carr saw that play AT ALL. It was a blind throw into an area occupied by two defenders. The common thread in Carr's, and pretty much everyone else's, analysis is that Dak doesn't read the game particularly well. He can make up for that against weaker defenses, but not against the better ones. I wish Dak were better. He seems like a great guy and Cowboy fans should be proud that someone with his character represents their team. That doesn't make him a great QB and it doesn't get you into Super Bowls.

Number three scoring offense where your backup QB won 5 games. A backup who I think everyone would agree is a bus driver AT BEST. Number 11 total offensive yards. In all seriousness, what evidence do you have of that there is no easy success in this offense?

What David Carr said about that 2nd INT and what Kurt Warner said (which is the way I saw it) are totally different. You can take Carr's opinion, while I will take the SB champ and ROH QB's opinion.

How's that for goalposts?

The Defense carried the team during the 4-1 games in which Cooper Rush covered for the injured Dak.

INB4 all the Carr sucked and doesn't know anything posts.
No one can know if Carr could have been better - when you get sacked 250 times in 5 years and get hit almost as many more, no QB is going to look very good.
By the time he escaped he was toast. I recall someone said that only on 1 out of 3 pass plays was Carr NOT hit during that time.

Well good news is that we have an “elite” play caller for next year. He’ll be elite until Dak apologists start to blame him for his problems
