Excellent list, and yes, we 100% need to make up for that TE pick
 
I much prefer tge TE pick to the LB pick, by a long long way.

Schoon is gonna play a hell of lot, see lots of action immediately. The LB is a st guy ONLY

Lets be fair you've been underwhelmed as your preconceived idea aren't the same as the FO.
You've mentioned your preference for money/value position's, but the FO have concentrated on facilitators like a Mazi (who benefits the pass rush by giving more and longer 3rd downs) and Schoonmaker who I suppose enhances BOTH run and is a weapon for Dak.
Schoon taken early (definately), however, this is just indicative of how the FO saw that type of TE as to how we want to play.

Overshown might be my favorite pick so far. Fairly good match if need / value and dude is super versatile.

High end RAS athlete that is exceptional in coverage and is a plus blitzer. Not sure if they’re thinking WILL for him or groom him for the Kearse role.

Yea - ideally I wanted a premium position in round 1 but Mazi is an ok pick. After the 1st I understand teams may want to slightly adjust to need but taking Schoon in the 2nd is laughable IMO…especially considering better players at need positions we’re still on the board.

It’s done now - hopefully they can get a couple steals today and I’ll be happy overall.

Clark is a far far better linebacker imo, bigger, faster, more physical. A year removed from his injury he's like getting a borderline first round pick imo.

I think Clark is more physical and better against the run as a prospect and Overshown is a better coverage LBr and blitzer.

Both need to work on their eyes / instincts but could be good compliments to each other if they click.

That depends on those 'positions' and how important they see the NEED. Again, you mentioned throughout the process that you wanted WR's (or accept a CB or Edge).
None of those positions are of need....I'd say that stopping the run and ensuring we can run the ball (even when RB1 is out of the game) is more important.
I agree this isn't glitzy (and im not saying id of taken Schoon), but it looks like we're improving on our weaknesses (as we did by signing Cooks and Gilmore).

You can put WR, CB and Edge to the side. Even the Mazi pick.

And there were much better options available in the 2nd at need potions. Like not 1…a lot.
 
I think we have to go offense heavy today and add weapons…miss the time to force it.

Have to. Throw your resources at offense and hope we get some contributors.

I hate going into the year relying on Gallup.

Mazi COULD be a home run, but he has to improve his pass rush technique. He has the tools to a high snap big DT.

Tyler Scott, AT Perry or Trey Palmer are 3 dudes I really like for WR.
 
I do feel a slight letdown but I’ve looked at highlights of the scone and the linebacker. They both have talent just not depositions I expected

Yeah, I think despite all the hype, Clark did look a bit lost out there last year but understandable having missed so much on the field reps during training camp and preseason. I really hope the lights come on this season as I was really high on him coming out of LSU.
 
I'm shocked that Dawand Jones is still available. Kind of not shocked at Ringo.

I'm going tailback in the 4th round, and then just grab whoever you think can make the roster from the 5th on out.

Izzy would be a perfect perfect The Cowboys worship elite athletes.
