We always talk about states that provide the best high school talent, but what about cities? Well this list shows some really good football players are coming out of the Houston area.

Hometowns With Most NFL Players:
Houston – 24
Miami – 22
Los Angeles – 20
Detroit – 15
New Orleans – 15
Dallas – 12
Cincinnati – 11
Cleveland – 11
Tampa – 10
Atlanta – 9
Chicago – 9
Sacramento – 9

I wonder if he's using Houston Proper, or including the burbs...

My guess is he isn't including the burbs as I'm pretty sure there are a lot more players from Houston and Dallas area in that mix...

I'll bet you are correct. The fact that Dallas has only 12 pretty much confirms that they are not including the many small towns and communities that make up the metro-plex.

I would love to see them include the entire Houston area vs. the Dallas Metro-plex.

I may be a Cowboy fan, but in this competition I would be rooting for H-town all the way.:D

Interesting that none of the huge cities from the east coast are on there. How can Sacramento beat out new York??? Could it be that ny is such a concrete jungle, kids can't get outside to play enough to develop their skills?

new york and Chicago would probably lead the way in basketball.
