FRISCO, Texas – What an offseason it has been. Two of the greatest players in franchise history have left the organization, including quite possibly the toughest, most consistent player to ever wear a Cowboys jersey.

This team has added several new faces in both free agency and the draft, which provided a few highly-rated players that fell in the Cowboys’ lap.

There has definitely been a lot of turnover with this roster, and with that, has left a few players to fall in between the cracks.

As we get close to starting up OTA and minicamp practices, here’s a list of 10 players who might not be getting the publicity right now, but could find themselves making some headlines before too long.

10) Jamize Olawale – One of the first new additions to this roster in free agency, Olawale isn’t exactly a new face. He nearly made the Cowboys’ roster in 2010 but is back to handle fullback duties, but can be more of an H-back pass-catcher as well. He’s also a special teams veteran that will be integral on all units.

The FB is basically a lock. 1-3 UDFAs will likely make the team and at least the same will make the PS. There is some talent at DB.

There will be some really good competition at several positions. But the secondary will have some as well for 2 or 3 spots.
Will be interesting.
Depending on how many they keep. But should bring forth some very good camp battles to watch.

Don't sleep on Lance Lenoir or Duke Thomas. Both could find spots. I've read about the progress Lenoir has been making before. If he is as good as what I've read, TWill is in trouble.

Williams, Jarwin, Olawale, Fleming and White are locks for the 53.

Big Dog, Lance Lenoir is not making the 53 man roster. I 100% guarantee it. We have way to many guys with more talent than him, even TWill.

Be really nice if one of those DBs pans out and becomes a contributor, would give us great depth back there. Now if only we knew a way to fix that FS position and could get a wiley veteran back there with some pro bowls under his belt.....hmmm.
Also, I keep forgetting about Cannon. However, it’s hard to imagine him sticking here with way too much competition. TWills contract ensures he will stick around for at least this coming season. Gallup, Beasley, are locks. Brown, Cannon, Wilson, Lenoir,....I’m sure I’m forgetting a few others...going to be tough for those guys to make the roster. At best, 3 of them stick in addition to TW, Bease, and Gallup although I could see us wanting to go long at TE also and only keeping 5 WRs.
I’m actually excited about the Ward acquisition. If Taco makes a nice jump in year two and Gregory adds anything at all, I like our DLs potential to cause trouble.

Other guys I’m interested to see play are Queiro and the San Diego St S guy. Think they are moving Queiro to LB but that guy was a playmaker in college, as was the other guy. No idea if it will translate but if it does could be more UDFA hits for us, which we seem to do better at than with mid round draft picks sometimes.

One of the players was saying Lenoir is killing it, too. And he’s supposed to have gotten much stronger, too.
