Did anyone pay attention to our defensive end in yesterday's game? I'm not sure why this is allowed, but on a certain drive in the second half, our DE'S rushed straight up the field on every run play.

Every time it happened, they had lanes and cut back lanes to run right through. I'm not sure if this is correct to pass rush on plays that aren't pass plays, but I can see this hurting us going forward.

Hats off for the win, but I think this needs to be addressed

That's the defensive philosophy. We will play on your side of the line of scrimmage. Trouble is opponents will eventually counter that with the run game and quick passes.

Garrett and Marinelli are gone. But Garrett's and Marinelli's concepts are still being used. Marinelli's rush men, as he called them, played the run on the way to the QB. So, every defensive lineman is trying to get up field and get to the quarterback, if they bump into the running back while pass rushing... great. If they do not bump into the running back... oh well. Maybe we'll get him next time.

They've been all out pass rushing like that since 2013. That's why we can't stop the run, because it's not a priority. We draft all pass rushers because that's they want. So how can you change coordinators yet the scheme stays the same? I give you Jerrah "My Way" Jones, as a cause for that. AKA the owner, general manager, president, stick in the mud, chain and ball... meddler.

It's Dan Quinn system. I wish we would do more to stop the run. If we want to make it far in the playoffs we better know how to stop the run and run the ball

We gave up 3 yards per carry yesterday and held one of the top 5 rushing teams in the league to under 90 yards total. The run defense wasn't the issue yesterday. The pass defense is another story
They were top 5 due to Jalen.

That’s a misleading stat. They established the run enough that the defense had to respect it which in turn opened up the passing game for 355 yards.

Yep. Philly came out right after Maher made it 40 and moved 35 yards in 2 plays. I believe Philly converts instead of turning it over on downs if they hadn’t had to forfeit a down spiking the ball on 1st down.

I’m normally conservative, but had a debate with my buddy sitting next to me whether to kick the FG or go for it. He was adamant to kick the FG; I was on the go for it side. I just didn’t think the defense could hold.

Not misleading. It just is. With the passing game moving the ball with ease, you'd think that would open up the running game then, no?

Also, Parsons taking the inside track way too much. All Minshew had to do was take a few steps to his left to avoid Parsons rush. It was pointed out by one of the announcers.

This isn't new. They have been doing it all year.
