DeAngelo Hall says Skins will dominate NFC East
Near the conclusion of Saturday's draft party at FedEx Field, DeAngelo Hall came down to the field to address the fans. Always comfortable with a microphone in his hands, Hall told this story of how a fan had recently asked him about the possibility of a 16-0 season. Hall said he couldn't guarantee 16 wins, but he felt good about 11 or 12.

Now, obviously he was playing to the crowd, but I asked him a few minutes later why he thought 11 or 12 wins were a possibility for a team coming off a 4-12 meltdown.

"It's based on the talent we feel like we've got," he said. "It's based on the improvements I feel like we've made. It's based on the scheme. The scheme alone is gonna give us four or five more wins. The games we lost by two, three points, we'll win those games, easy.

"We'll dominate our division, off of bringing Donovan McNabb in here, a guy who's dominated the division in the past. So that's just an educated guess. That's an educated guess, and I stand behind. I'll stand behind that. I'll fight and claw to try to make that happen."

That's...I guess optimistic would be a word for it. But Hall is correct that McNabb has had much success against the NFC East. These are, I believe, his records as a starter against the division, including playoff games.

11-7 vs. Giants
12-7 vs. Commanders
11-9 vs. Cowboys

The total is 34-23, which works out to a .596 winning percentage, which might not be domination, but it's sure better than the reverse.

------------------------------------------------------

I like how the author takes the totality of McNabb's record against the NFC East, and not the last few seasons. Like being 2-5 against the Romo-led Cowboys. That's a bit more indicative of his success versus our rebuilding years at the turn of the century.

Oh DeAngelo, you so crazy. :laugh2: Looks like Teri Hatcher wrote your biography....

D-Lo has always said a lot of things. One of these days he'll actually learn to stop talking.

I am guessing its 30 years from now

Yea .... you gotta hate someone who shoots their mouth off and then does not follow through.

maybe i'm feeling too level headed today but its just a guy talking up his teams chances. i don't agree with his expectations but what kind of sportsman comes out before the season saying we were poor last season and though i think we've improved i still think we'll struggle not to finish bottom of the division?

In the case of D-Hall, its just best he keeps his mouth shut. I should stop holding my breath though, I have been following his athletic career since he was 17 and the one consistant thing has been how much he talks

There is some middle ground. But it's fine. I don't really care what he says.
