I am over your shtick. There was a time when it was folksy and entertaining. It is no longer that. Your act is now that of a defiant, arrogant fool who has failed the franchise over and over.
I don't want to hear you say how you will fix this and get it right. I've heard that before. I know it to be BS. You promised accountability immediately after the GB blow out. What you delivered was nothing. zero. zilch. You didn't fire a single coach. You didn't shake up the front office. You didn't tear apart the roster. You just sat there and let other forces dictate your offseason moves - Quinn got a new job and some players just found teams that wanted them more. You literally did nothing to hold anyone in your organization accountable for that disaster.
So when you say you will fix this, just trust me, I laugh. Jerry, the time to "fix" this was 6-8 months ago. But you did nothing to fix anything. You kept a HC that should have been fired because you loathe paying more than one HC. You whined about "dead money" for coaches despite being the owner of the most valuable and most profitable franchise in the world. You were so freaking cheap that you decided to keep your failed HC because you simply didn't want to fork out a few million more to make a change that could have had a drastic impact on your franchise. I have zero doubt that if McCarthy's contract was up after 2023, you wouldn't have renewed him. But because he had a year left, you kept him because you are cheap.
You decided to be even stingier in free agency than you ever have been. Despite GLARING holes at RB and DT and LB and even depth at WR, you did nothing in FA other than signing a LB who is about 50% of what he was in his prime. You have problems stopping the run, AGAIN, but that should not surprise you given you ignored the position this offseason. You just assumed whatever slop you threw at DT would work. It didn't. It's a disaster, again.
You are cheap. You can whine (actually lie) about how much cash you think you spent this year but the data doesn't lie. You have been one of the cheaper franchises in the last decade. Your team is often top heavy with some talented stars but no "meat" in those middle roster spaces. You continually undervalue certain positions. You put out flawed rosters because the alternative is to actually spend some cash and we already know you refuse to invest in the roster like your peers.
It's not bad luck that you've gone 25+ years with zero SBs or NFCCGs and only 5 playoff wins. It's a direct indictment of you. You want to fix this? You want to show the fans you care? You want to prove that you can fix this?
