for Philly? After that conservative defensive game plan yesterday, anyone think we got something special for them waiting? Thoughts?

The defense is playing so many young guys that there are growing pains.
Its been a good thing we have started with teams we can beat.

Next week will be a challenge for our defense to be sure and hopefully they wont be so cocky as they have the last 2 thinking they will own the opponents offense.

The one positive for our defense after the SF game is that we all realize that we have a lot of work to do. There is no way these guys are going to take anything for granted next game.

Agreed...they are young, gelling and still learning the speed of the game and a new D.

I think we got a little too high in our expectations so early on.

By the middle of the season I expect they will start to live up to the hype...but also remember we will have some young rooks that could hit those end of season rookie walls as well.

I really believe we got some special players and once they get into the flow of things they will be a very good D....just gotta give them some time.

Saving something?

You're kidding right?

The biggest problems are the inability of our safeties to provide proper coverage help and our reluctance to get out of our standand 3-4 when other teams go 3-wide. That formation is killing our base defense.

It looked as if Dallas went with Glenn at nickel in the first half, but in the second stayed with the base defense while facing the 3 receiver sets. That was just my opinion based on watching the game live. I don't re-watch tapes of the game and breakdown formations.
