This notion that the defense is way ahead of offense is getting little bit ridiculous. Once the offense can start using the running game with actual physical contact Parsons and the defense aren’t going to have the same speed after Zeke and Pollard batters them for few series.
The Preseason games will show Offense is right at defense level or even better.
I don't think you're going to get a good read on where either unit is in the preseason.
The starters likely won't play but one series if that.
And the schemes are vanilla as vanilla can get.
Besides, our defense is relatively younger than our offense and more stable. I'm worried about Tyron Smith (whether he's even going to make it through the season), Tyler Biadasz (he struggled mightily at center), Zeke (will he hold up a full season), Pollard (his workload and his effective use), an injured Gallup (even if he returns, will he be healthy) and Dak (he needs to take a significant jump this year, which means getting past the first round of the playoffs).
We know what our offense has done over the past few years. And despite record-setting numbers, we get bogged down near the end of the year and in the playoffs.
I suspect our defense is going to have to carry us.
