Even though the Cowboys weren't in the Super Bowl, the Steelers' win is another confirmation to me that Parcells' desire to improve this defense is what will set the Cowboys up to win a Super Bowl.

I don't think a team with the better defense and a running game has ever lost a Super Bowl. (I could be wrong.)

It seems like that tried and true formula remains, well, tried and true.

Maybe Dallas in SB V, but both teams were close.

Try putting that on a T-shirt and selling it! :) LOL

How about:
a striped t-shirt that says
NFL Officials
Super Bowl XL Champions
the Defraud in Detroit

Without doing any research on the matter, I can tell you that the 1989 Denver Broncos defense was ranked #1 in points allowed and #3 in yardage allowed and had 1800 yards rushing during the season.

San Fran was #3 in points allowed and #4 in yardage allowed and had 1574 yards rushing during the season.

San Fran won 55-10

Dropping passes and missing field goals and throwing int's loses championships.
