ok but guess what we still didn't go know where.

Chan Gailey took us to the playoffs two years straight and we still lost in the first round. and he got fired.

Jimmy Johnson win a superbowl. and he got fired

Bary Switzer win a superbowl. and he got fired

Campo becomes head coach. but. Jones gives more creditability to Coslet. mistake

Now Parcells. when is he going to say enough is enough.

Parcells is not a players coach.

this is how I think about it

under Campo: a 5-11 mess

under Parcells: disappointing? yes, but at least we're headed in some direction

Im a huge Jimmy Johnson fan, in fact, because Im Post Landy Cowboy fan, to me he will be the greatest ever, and I mean that with no dispresect whatsoever to teh guys who have been with the Cowboys for a real long time.

However, I believe that if you gave Bill Parcells the amount of draft picks that Jimmy Johnson had, and you allow a guy like Aikman to fall into his lap, and you may be tlaking about Parcells and a few Super Bowls as well.

Johnson proved that he was a very good game day coach, often making bold decisions to help his team win, but he no doubt was helped by the amount of picks we obtained through the Hershel Walker trade.

And I quoted you to agree....the way things were with Gailey (an aging team hanging onto passed glory) to Campo ( just a flat out bad team), this is the best team we've fielded in alot of years.

think about how much sense that makes, Payton, who Parcells brought in, seems to be the front-runner for the Packer HC job

Sounds like he's also the frontrunner for NO...either way he'll be a head coach next season.

My post had nothing to do with Parcells hiring somebody because Parcells only hiring guys who had previous rapport with Parcells.
It was comment on how BP has hired really bad assistants who are not qualified.

I really wish people would stop making these moronic generalizations about my posts.

Not qualified? How did you come about this notion?

yeah, real unqualified

And if you think Tony Soprano is a good OL coach, you've been eating too much of Parcell cheeze and drinking way too much Kool-Aid. :blind:

Have notice how are OLine has played this year? That's how.

That has nothing to do with a person being qualified of not. If you fired every coach who has had a bad season there would not be a coach in the NFL.

If a coach, who had done it before and had some succes has a bad season, I would agree with you.

Soprano never coached OL in the NFL and he did a lousy job. I'm not even talking average. We coudln't run, we couldn't pass block. From that I can only conclude, he is not qualified.

I agree the line played bad but I don't think it has much to do with Soprano as it does the people on the offensive line. This unit is in need of a major overhaul including the likes of Larry Allen.

Anybody besides me need a decoder for the thread title? I still don't get it.

The thread itself, I get. The title might as well be Greek.

The reason I'm blaming Soprano is because we pretty much had the same or worse players in 2004 and it played much better. Especially run blocking. Even before Flo went out, we couldn't run the ball well.

He is the running game coordinator.

Therefore, he should shoulder some of the responsibility for the poor results.

I think Capers would be good in Big D. I'm not sure about Norv?

Tony Saprano has failed in my opinion as a line coach. None of the Cowboys backups looked ready to play at any time this season. The run blocking was bad, even with two pro bowl guards. The guy hasn't shown me anything.

Sparano did coach OL in the NFL you nut, he coached the Jag's Oline a few years ago
