Hey everyone.

Bored at work, figured I would do a quick draft.

I used PFN for this one.

Let me know your thoughts.

Traded 10 overall to Giants for 11 and 76

11-Patrick Surtain II CB
Most pro ready CB in the draft. Very solid. Pairing back up with Diggs. Losing 2 of our CBs this year makes this a huge need.

44-Jay Tufele DT
Someone who can rush, and is a monster in the run game. Solidifies us inside and gives us another weapon as I think Gallimore is going to come back strong next year and flashed at times this season.

75-Tyler Shelvin DT
Our Run stopper. The one we have been waiting for. The one we have needed. He has an uncanny ability to find the football and I love his motor.

76- Ifeatu Melifonwu CB
Dan Quinn prototype CB. Long rangy, and has great technique. Perfect Zone corner and has room for improvement.

108- Pete Werner LB
I love this kid as a later pick. He is one of my favourite later round picks. Hes great in coverage, his play recognition is elite, he can rush the passer, and he closes quick on run downs.

I had to stop due to a meeting but thats what I have so far.

Let me know what you think.

Not a Werner fan at all but overall, a very good mock.

If I'm an OC or QB and I see Werner lining up, I'm flooding his zone and/or crossing him. I don't think he can move laterally, at least enough to cover Slots or 3rd down backs.

I like it! Interested in who Giants traded up a spot to secure tho in your scenario

I was wondering the same thing? Unless they think someone else is going to jump into our spot in front of them, (for a QB maybe?) they have no reason to move up 1 spot.

I like it but don't know much about Werner and would like to get a safety in there like maybe Washington.

Not sure why the giants would trade with us to move into our spot.

If you take Tuefle, Shelvin isnt needed. Tuefle is your every down 1T

I'll take Tufele and play him at the 1 opposite Gallimore in base D, but he is much more suited to play the 3T.
I'd gladly take Shelvin and pair him with Tufele (or anyone else) inside in run downs.
