Defensive problems solved.

The largest weakness this year has been the deep ball with safeties covering. The fix for that is a blitz happy defense. If Roy can't cover deep, then blitz him, along with a few linebackers.

Quick throws mean short routes, and Newman, Glenn, Henry can sit on those routes. So what if offenses make a lot of stuff underneath, eventually, a quarterback will throw a pick as he gets hit, or a fumble will be caused, something good will happen as the plays increase. Opposing offenses will have longer drives that end in failure.

That's the ultimate clock management, making the other offense burn the clock before they turn over the ball.

It's what Dallas needs to do. Blitz like crazy. And keep playing those rookies!! They'll stop making those mistakes and some point, then LOOK OUT!!

Sounds easy enough, but with this team, it just doesn't work. Ware is the only true pass-rushing linebacker that will actually get pressure, and Roy has over-pursuit problems once he breaks the LOS. The only thing blitzing Als and Bradie James accomplishes is it takes away two (particularly bad) players in pass coverage. Pressure is a foreign idea to this team.

I think it's got to change. Find the players that are good at it, and keep them there. As far as pass defense goes, we are what we are. We need to avoid the situation. Blitzing makes every play chaotic. Offenses don't do well under a heavy blitz.

Funny how teams with absolutely PATHETIC pass rushes are finding a way to get to our QB and disrupt him yet we can't blitz 8 and find the QB unless the coverage is SO FREAKIN PERFECT downfield that the QB has to eat it.

Blitzs are the most effective if they are disguised well ( which we suck at) and timely. If you go blitz crazy in this league, you will get hammered. When you blitz, someone is in man coverage. Our corners are pretty good but do u really want them in a jumping match with moss or t.o. all day? If someone blitz's me like crazy, I run a lot of motion to pick up coverage, use the shot gun, and throw fades all day to my taller wideouts that are in man coverage. After 3 or 4 have gone for td's i bet the blitzs stop.
